Lovely beach side walk

Ignoring all the construction and pebble beach the grand hotels and casinos along the promenade alone are worth it

The Promenade des Anglais is basic Nice, as much as is the Old Town. Walking along the "beach", observing the people, the beach chairs that await, the restaurants, all of that is Nice and is fun. If you go, put on some comfortable shoes and take a stroll. It's a must.

A must if you visit Nice. Take a stroll, or hire a bike, have lunch (or simply drinks) down on the beach. Relax, unwind and watch the world.

It felt like a long walk in the heat, at least it was downhill from the train station. The walk along the promenade is breathtaking. It is very clean ( rare in France.)The multi shades of blue in the water contrasting with the white pebbles along the beach. This is a must see in France, Even if it is a... More

The Promenade des Anglais is a wonderful place in Nice to people watch. It is a paved walkway that runs parallel to the sea and goes for miles and miles. People walk, ride bikes and job. There are seats everywhere for you to rest or just sit and watch the activity. We thoroughly enjoyed it every day while in Nice.

An amazing piece of paradise. So relaxing yet a hype of activity with joggers, cyclists, rollerbladers and people strolling along the promenade. There are several restaurant/cafes along the promenade but they are not always open. Be wary of beggars - unfortunately we encountered an African gentleman whom tried to swindle €10 from my husband in return for giving me a... More

The famous promenade is perfect for a leisurely walk anytime of the day. Overlooking the long pebble beach, you'll understand why this place became the beach haunt of choice back in the day.
