Omg! I cannot express how happy I am to have had the opportunity (twice) to experience not only Nice but many of the beautiful villages and mid evil towns towns nearby with Silvie DiCristo! We were on each occasion a group of around 15 people from various countries around the world (some with children) and some only meeting each other for the first time as this was set up for a large international conference for those who did not attend the meetings during the 3 days it would take place. Her patience and will to accommodate to everyone’s needs while still keeping the group and initial plans together was magnificent. Managing around 15 people that did not all speak the same language was a task in and of itself and she made everyone feel comfortable from the beginning until the very last minute of each day. She is exceptional and fluent in many languages (not to mention that she has a beautiful calming voice). Her historical knowledge is that of a master teacher. She knows every little mágica nook you would otherwise not have heard of -and tons of people everywhere- and the restaurants she planned for us were always superb! If you are looking for a wonderful tour guide full of Professionalism, passion, and love for what she does, Silvie is defInitely for you! I highly recommend her!

We were on a Mediterranean cruise calling at Monaco and Villefranche and hooked up with four people from Michigan to hire Sylvie as a guide for both ports. She was easy to make arrangements with by email and gave explicit instructions as to where she would meet us. Both ports are tender ports and she offered to wait for us from the time the ship would begin tendering until she saw us. In Monaco, she took us to visit the cathedral and the changing of the guard at the Palace and then took us on a tour of the countryside driving towards San Remo, Italy where we had lunch at a great restaurant Sylvie had picked out which was both good and reasonable. On the way back to the ship we were supposed to stop at Eze but it was raining rather heavily so we decided to go back to the ship. Sylvie offered to take us to a perfume factory but none of us were particularly interested. The next day Sylvie picked us up in Villefranche and took us to a mountain overlooking Nice where Elton John and other of the rich and maybe famous live with great views. Then we went to Nice and she showed us the open air market and the downtown area. Off to Cannes and the sight of the festival where we had another delicious lunch before we visited a medieval mountain town, Haut de Cagnes, before returning to the ship. Sylvie was fun, informative and very cheerful. We had a good time and would not hesitate to hire her again and recommend her highly.

I had thought the cost for the private tour and drop off at our river cruise ship was a bit expensive. But in retrospect, it was well worth it. Not only were we able to squeeze in an extra great day of tours visiting and learning about the history of a number of really neat places west of Nice, it was just great spending the day with Sylvie. A very enjoyable day with an easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and efficient tour guide.

Dear Joe and Shirline, It was such a pleasure to know you both and to spend this (too short) day with you. I am so glad you had a good time with me, and was happy to offer you my expertise of the French Riviera and Provence. Also, many thanks for publishing this nice review. I hope to keep in touch with you. Take care. Sylvie di Cristo

A source of uncorrupted charm, nicknamed the pearl of France -Ville de Menton with its warm-coloured architecture ,enchanting labyrinth of quays, picturesque gardens, basilicas and beaches makes for a quiet but exciting getaway, steeped in history and replete with ocean-side escapes.Normally the French Riviera is busy and cramped but somehow Menton is managed to be less crowded ,less expensive and less touristic ,which makes the pretty little town the best place to visit in the area .Boarding with Italy ,the town is very influenced by Mediterranean temper ,it is located only 30 min by train from Nice Côté d’Azur airport .The transport is every half an hour .The beach is smaller than Nice but so much nicer and sandier .Gorgeous ,memorable place to visit
