I had on time pick up at the airport and close enough on the return trip in a minivan. I was the only passenger. Trip took 20 minutes. Economical too.

With more luggage then we could carry the help was much appreciated. We received water upon arrival. Clean van, childrens’ seats already installed and clean.

We had a Nice taxi from the airport to the Royal Riviera hotel at Cap ferrat , I thought that the taxi ride was on the meter after two minutes I noticed €85 on the meter. The taxi driver said it is always 85 E to Cap ferrat RUBBISH . Get yourself an Uber cab which we got on the return trip and it cost less than €40 be ripped off.

We booked a transfer from the airport to our hotel, but the driver did not meet us. He spoke limited English and our French is poor. In short despite filling out the online form with our flight details etc, they only look at the arrival time. Our flight was 20 minutes late.
I received a call on the plane when we landed asking where we were. The driver did not understand my explanation. When we entered the terminal I called him and it turns out that he remains in the car despite the arrangements that the wait with a sign for you in the arrival hall. We could not work our where he was so I told him that I would make alternative arrangements.
My suggestion is grab a taxi from Nice airport- we did and it cost 40 euros to our hotel in the city. The same price for the limo service

Be, very careful on the tram or crowded buses in and around Nice. Pickpockets work in teams, usually youngsters. They will engage you in conversation and then one will try to rob. Locals are good in that if they see any working the tram or bus, they will warn, but nobody challenges and the police don't appear to be doing anything.
One more thing, when using public transport validate your ticket in the machine on the tram or bus...they do spot checks for this, if not for pickpockets

Booked return malaga airport to Nerja and as agreed the driver was waiting. Clean comfortable vehicle and pleasant and polite drivers on both occasions. Happy to recommend and use again.

We decided to give Sun transfers another go after last years Issues. Wish we hadn’t. Kept waiting for forty five minutes where I made several phone calls to be told “he’ll be with you in two minutes”

When our easy jet flight landed in Nice, directly outside the airport terminal were a line of taxis waiting to take us into Nice. The taxi we were immediately shown to had a sign affixed to the rear of the passenger seat, informing us that the fare was set at 36 euros for all taxis from the airport to the resort and that is exactly what we were charged.

We walked out of the Airport and there were a number of waiting taxis. The driver was very charming, his car was clean and neat and he drove us to the Hotel on the Promenade Des Anglais in record time. The charge was 40 Euros

How reliable are the taxi from Nice Airport and is it better to book

I'd say booking is best. Some are more reliable than others, and even after booking, a couple of companies, well let's just say be careful if you have to make a last minute change as you could be stranded. Nice Airport Transfers ( +33 975 183 035) have been very good and are local to the airport too, so waiting time is better! You may pay a little more, but for us, reliability always comes first. hope that helps
