Expecting to spend an hour here, close to three flew by before we knew it, as the collection is diverse, completely absorbing and quite fascinating. The thematic organisation of the pieces, each theme with it's own floor (ancient Egypt, people and personalities, social customs and armoury), is very interesting and it's great to see examples of works inspired by the... All these helmets & lances makes you realise how humanity has had to struggle through past centuries until the present era which has it's own struggles - what will be the outcome ? The Egyptian section is very interesting - a wonderful funeral urn for ashes & excellent informations for the newcomer to the Egyptian past -

Numerous artefacts, collected by an Englishman, and displayed over 3 floors, in historical order. Very interesting history of Mougins and an easy collection to view.

Worth a visit to see the collection prior to dinner in the stunning township of Mougins. The private collection and in particular the medieval armaments are a true reflection of the brutality of those times

What a fabulous museum. Classic art and some modern art based on the classics. Good selection and good for kids; families there talking about Greek and Roman art.

An amazing collection of contemporary and classical art ranging from Sarcophagi to rival the British Museum, incredibly intricate Roman mosaics and a superbly conserved collection of Ancient Greek and Roman armour. Definitely worth a visit, if to escape the Cote d'Azur summer heat. Beautifully air conditioned! A real unexpected treat while visiting Mougins!

I visited this Museum on holiday with friends and it was wonderful. Something for everyone, it mixes modern art with ancient artefacts, including the largest private collection of ancient arms and armour in the world, sarcophogi (kids will love them), all on a classical theme. What is astonishing is the QUALITY of the collection: the modern art that is clasically... More

From the outside this museum is understated but an absolute treasure trove inside. It is beautifully presented over four floors - packed with well preserved ancient artefacts from Egyptian Greek and Roman civilisations of the highest quality It is a surprise to find a museum of this stature in a small ancient village in South of France
