One reviewer had thought this a “bit tacky and even creepy in some parts” but we disagree, as do several of the reviewers in the French language section. It is actually like entering a time warp! It has a somewhat “dusty/forgotten” feel to it but nonetheless quite a sweet little museum with several small rooms and a courtyard at the rear which has outdoor exhibits.

Absolutely stuffed full of all sorts, much too much to mention, but including costumes, hats, implements, tools, several room and shop settings etc giving an insight into a local way of life over the decades.

We were the only two visitors at the time.

It is on Rue Jean Jaure, a two minute walk from the Cathedral and Archaeological museum.

Even if your visit is short (as ours was) it is worth spending a half hour or an hour here especially if you have a pass.

We had bought the very inexpensive Frejus Pass at E4pp (reduced rate) which gave entry to several sights including this one. It is on Rue Jean Jaure, a two minute walk from the Cathedral and Archaeological museum.

Even if your visit is short (as ours was) it is worth spending a half hour or an hour here.

The museum is a bit tacky and even creepy in some parts but still worth a visit. There were only two other people visiting when I was there so it certainly wasn't crowded. There are displays of home interiors and stores, and a school room that had copies of old class photos which were very interesting. The museum was included in my tourist pass, and it is located on one of the main streets, so it was easy to include it in my day.

Particularly if you've bought the Fréjus pass for 4.60.
Pretty cool little folk museum - make sure you stop by the Malpasset exhibition and the courtyard out the back
