- Barbs25Staffordshire, United Kingdom3,696 contributionsGreat viewsAmazing views along the coast and of the town below. Reasonable entry fee at 7€ per adult and tickets are available at the machine in Eze town or outside the gardens. It started pouring down when we got to the top viewpoint but with our umbrellas we didn’t mind and it meant the place emptied a little. Cool to see the rain blowing at height. Would recommend it and just a note for visit Eze - get the bus 82 as if you get the train it stops at the bottom which means a climb uphill of about 40 mins. The bus climbs to Eze village so it’s easier.Visited August 2023Traveled with friendsWritten September 17, 2023
- HikerBob66San Rafael, California520 contributionsStunning Riviera viewsThe stunning view of the beautiful Riviera coastline would have made the walk to the top worth it, but the landscape of the exotic garden takes the experience to a new level. There isn't much I can add to other reviews, but it's interesting to compare the the view of the rooftops and lower Corniche to the 1920 Émile Hublin painting displayed at the viewpoint. A lot has changed but a lot is almost identical.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 7, 2023
- CHD6265Odiham, United Kingdom449 contributionsAwesome views but too many people somewhat hindered enjoymentQuite a long queue at the entrance to pay the. 7EU. Not sure why it takes so long to extract this fee from people. Once inside it felt too busy - lots of school kids! But all that aside the views were amazing and worth the effort of getting there. Signs within the village could have been more plentiful too. Seemed to go around in circles on times. Continuing to pass the safe upmarket shops and restaurants.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 23, 2023
- RIchard035Northwood, United Kingdom1,285 contributionsAmazing viewsLe Jardin Exotique are situate right at the top of the hill in Eze village. There is a small entrance fee to enter the gardens. Three is a bit of climbing to walk around the gardens but it is quite manageable for most people. While the gardens themselves are impressive, the views from here are magnificent.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 5, 2023
- TravellotsUnited States143 contributionsBreathtakingBeautiful!!! Wandering through this medieval town was breathtaking. Then we came upon the gardens. We wandered about for quite a while and found the small waterfall. The sculptures were great and placed about so well. The plantings were just beautiful. Don’t miss this place if you’re on the French Riviera.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 21, 2023
- AburelBucharest, Romania3,168 contributionsSpectacularI have seen many gardens but this one is one of a kind. The location, on top of a mountain sort of,makes it fascinating. The village starts beyond it. You need good shoes and good feet to be able to explore it as it has many stair up and down. The views of the sea and surroundings are spectacular and the botanical collection is exceptional. Visiting Eze Village and skipping it halved the experience for sure.Visited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten January 4, 2024
- FoodangeManchester, United Kingdom4,097 contributionsStunning and Peaceful GardensRight at the top of the old town in this fantastic place, at just 5€ entry such a treat. Stunning collection of cacti, other tropical and desert plants ana startling statues, many with info boards in French and English. On a sunny Friday afternoon in February, it was virtually deserted. The walk to the top for the ruins of the castle rewarded us with amazing views all along the Côte d'Azur.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 25, 2024
- Grace MWoburn Sands, United Kingdom48 contributionsMust-seeA must-see attraction if you have a spare day or half. A quick bus from Nice gets you to this beautiful village, where you can follow the clearly signposted signs up to le Jardin. Especially nice on a sunny day, but I'm sure it's beautiful year round. Make sure to spend an hour or two walking around the grounds and taking in the views. Lovely experience, and well priced too for the area.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 27, 2024
- MargeTurku, Finland1,579 contributionsNice views, little village and nice garden, go by bus from Nice to Eze villageAmazing garden up in the mountains. Take a bus 82 or 602 from Nice to Eze village. I took from Vauban and got good place for bus. Near harbourg bus will come full. Multiple ticket is also valud for these busses and you can also make a transfer for same direction if it's needed. Not so big place, but on clear wheather you can see auntil Cap Ferrat. Mountains and sea, so beautifull. Park is keeped well. Little village to follow up to the park. Ticket mashines beginning in the town and up before going in. Quite hot place on summer time. Too many tourists also? Trail to Eze Sur Mer train and beach will start nect to golfen gate. About 45 min down, hard to climb up.Visited May 2024Traveled soloWritten May 21, 2024
- Scott GWashington DC, District of Columbia450 contributionsTruly beautiful and sereneThe garden is indeed exotic and gorgeous. Views are spectacular. There are a few small waterfalls (the water is pumped -- the garden is at the top of a high hill), and one of them has some lounge chairs. If for some reason you are unable to visit the jardin exotique in Monaco, be sure to come here!Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 24, 2024

We visited here one afternoon after lunch on a trip to Eze.
Entrance is only 3 euros which is good value for money as you’ll spend at least an hour here exploring.
Be aware there is little shade and no place to buy a drink or snack once you’re in, but other than that it was an enjoyable walk around with statues to look at and views to enjoy.

The Village of Èze is located on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean. You can get there by bus, but they run infrequently. From Èze station or Beaulieu it takes about half an hour costing € 1,50. Once there you can walk up the stairs and narrow roads and enjoy the views. The Jardin exotique is beautiful and the views from there are even more spectacular. A ticket costs € 7 but it is worth the money. A visit that gives you a good impression will take about one and a half hour, the place is very small, which enables an easy connection by bus. There are of course many terraces and restaurants, but the prices are rather high and in my opinion not really worth it, since not all of them offer a free view towards the sea.

This garden is spectacular. Beautiful cacti and succulents. I loved walking around the winding paths and steps, and the views of the Mediterranean were breathtaking! We visited in August and worried about it being too crowded, so we visited in the morning and that worked out perfectly. Highly recommended!

Le Jardin Exotique d'Eze was one of the most spectacular places I have ever been. This botanical garden came highly recommended, but nothing could have prepared me for how stunning this area truly is.
Lush, exotic botanicals intermixed with elegant statues and beautiful buildings overlook the sea, framing each panorama beautifully. From the gardens you can see the village and the surrounding landscape, and it is a memory I will not soon forget.
If you are in the south of France - I cannot recommend enough!

Eze le Village is an incredibly beautiful, picture perfect small stone village perched so high up it's incredible - the best views are from this amazing garden. The garden itself is situated at the very top of the hill and all you need is a bottle of water, a camera, sunglasses, and the interest to appreciate the most wonderul coastal scenery and views anywhere. You can see Cap Ferrat, Nice, Villefrance sur Mer, and as many mega yachts as choose to drift in these gorgeous waters. It is helpful to have visited those areas first as you know what you are looking at from this garden. it's a very peaceful oasis.

We followed the advice of prior commenters and got to the Jardin just as it opened. So glad that we did! The grounds are quite stunning, and the views from up there are unparalleled. But the walking paths are fairly narrow in some parts. Which means the visitors who insist on taking selfies every few feet make it nearly impossible to get around the garden or to enjoy oneself. And many didn’t seem to understand the contemplation gardens are for quiet reflection. Getting there early (around 9am) allowed us over an hour to enjoy the gorgeous atmosphere and take it all it is meant to represent.

Truly magical and views not to be missed! The church is on the way to the gardens and I'd recommend buying the tickets in the town before the upward climb begins - helps avoid the crowds at the garden. Walking through the medieval Eze is absolutely phenomenal!

This magnificent botanical garden is located on top of the hill, around the ruins of an old fortification. It was created just after the II World War.
The garden itself is well known because of the impressive collection of cactuses and succulents from the Mediterranean Region, Africa and the Americas and breathtaking panoramic view of the neighbouring mountainous terrain and the coast underneath.
Entrance is 6 euros per adult and it is absolutely worth a visit.

Took the train and bus to Eze but train. Bus only goes once an hour, train delayed by 5 mins so missed a bus and had to wait an hour for next one. Information at bus stop not very clear. Advise if you know you've missed the bus cross the road and pick it up going into nice as it just does a circuit. The route is very popular and lots of people trying to get on the bus both ways - could do with extra service.
Eze is lively village. Walk to the gardens is uphill but manageable.
Views from the top over the bay are beautiful.
Plenty of good restaurants to choose to eat in.

We had visited on a Sunday and was there until at least 4pm all the shops were open. There was on one restaurant at the bottom of the mountain called Gascogne which closed at 2pm.
