The overall experience was not too bad. I spent ~380£ at the EZE perfume factory because the samples that the sales lady introduced were quite nice. At checkout, a cashier girl put my products into 3 slippery plastic bags which were a bit difficult to carry. I saw she gave shopping bags to other customers while I was lining up for my second purchase so I asked her if she can put my stuffs in a shopping bag. She refused to do so and told me she doesn’t have any more shopping bags. I was sure mad and told her how unbelievable that was. Another cashier lady at the next register came over and bagged my purchased items in a shopping bag with an apology. Thankfully I only run into such situation one time during my entire 10-day Europe trip!

We came here on Saturday - and were given a tour for just my wife and me. The lovely lady who showed us aroud expmained everything, took lots of time to answer our questions and spoke fantastic English. The large shop was a highlight, too. We had the chance to try and smell to especially my wife’s heart’s content. All in all time well spent for a nice experience. (the perfume museum town was a tad dull in comparison).

We were on a tour with limited time and decided to forego the guided tour as I had several people to buy for and needed time to shop. The ladies perfume is sold in metal bottles and they claim it is pure perfume and will last longer than eau de perfume. So far, I have not noticed it lasting very long at all. The men’s cologne is cheaper but my husband has not worn it yet so I don’t have an opinion to share yet. It was fun shopping there, never been to a perfume factory before. Time will tell if I made wise purchases.

The visit to this perfumery and its back-of-house operations on how it makes its products (perfume, creams, soaps) was interesting. Danielle, our English-speaking guide was effective in articulating the process of their perfume production. We ended the tour at a counter, seated on high chairs, with Danielle facing us. So this was Danielle's sales pitch: - that when we pay for "eau de parfum", it was likely more "eau" (French for water), than perfume itself - Fragonard's perfume is pure perfume - it does not contain water, and therefore is meant to last longer when sprayed on the skin. So, this sounded very promising - what Fragonard offered was pure perfume, extracted from different plants and undiluted by water; on top of that, the pitch highlighted the fact that their perfume was sold in aluminium cans. This was pitched as a much better option than glass bottles, which will expose perfume to light and therefore render it less effective with time - we tried the different scents, based on our preferences, with some specifically for men - the pitch included buying five bottles in 60 or 120 ml size (in combinations of our choice) for a package price, that worked out better than buying individual bottles And yes - so, convinced by what we thought was a sensible and logical explanation, we bought and left. We had great expectations that the Fragonard perfume would be a scent that could last longer through the day. However, it was not to be. There was NO LASTING FRAGRANCE at all from the perfume - my girlfriend and I said we could not detect any fragrance from each other on the day we both used our perfume (we each chose different scents). And up till today - upon returning home, there isn't even a whiff of the fragrance that linger in the clothes I wear, after spraying the perfume on my skin. So - moral of the story: enjoy your visit, and don't be taken in by their pitch that because their perfume does NOT contain water, would last longer. I confirm it does not.

I will name up from the beginning that I simply adore a few of their perfumes so I was more than happy to visit. We were provided with a tour of the laboratory, tested our knowledge of smells and then sampled the products. They provided some special offers and were flexible in how we could add things together. I loved the fact that I can buy the pure parfum here for a fraction of what I pay at home for the eau de parfum!!
