The overall experience was not too bad. I spent ~380£ at the EZE perfume factory because the samples that the sales lady introduced were quite nice. At checkout, a cashier girl put my products into 3 slippery plastic bags which were a bit difficult to carry. I saw she gave shopping bags to other customers while I was lining up for my second purchase so I asked her if she can put my stuffs in a shopping bag. She refused to do so and told me she doesn’t have any more shopping bags. I was sure mad and told her how unbelievable that was. Another cashier lady at the next register came over and bagged my purchased items in a shopping bag with an apology. Thankfully I only run into such situation one time during my entire 10-day Europe trip!

This was part of a tour from the cruise ship port. We were told by tour company (rest of their tour was great) that we had the option of going or not. If not we could spend more time in Eze, but our guide was insistent that we go. We were kinda reluctant and had an attitude towards this forced tour and the end of a well rehearsed sales pitch which we kindly listened to and ignored as we do not wear fragrances. The tour itself was very interesting, well conducted, and time well spent, BUT the sales pitch was a tad long and unbelievable how many fellow passengers on our tour actually spent over 100 euro on products and seemed very excited and proud of spending their money.
Conclusion; tour was worth it.

I liked one of the perfumes the sales lady showed us ,so I bought it.
But what I didn’t like is that I took one of the perfumes off the shelf and the lady from the from the sale corner put on her note which means she sold me that and she gets paid for that and I think that’s not really right. She didn’t give me any explanations are any sale instructions so I wouldn’t recommend taking place in this sales experience …

This parfumerie was recommended by a family member who briefly lived in the area years ago. When she heard we were going to Nice, she said we absolutely needed to go to Fragonard in Èze and she was right! We paid for the 30 min workshop tour via their website and we enjoyed every minute. We learned about the different elements of a perfume then we made our own mix in small spray bottle to take home. Afterward, you tour the factory, seeing the area where the perfume maker works and you get to test your abilities at identifying different scents. After viewing the rest of the factory, the tour ends in their perfume, lotion, etc. store. The staff were very professional & the tour is offered in many languages. Worth the 29€!

A visit to this obscure French factory of overpriced mediocre short lasting products that smell like old people was nothing more than a smug scam. They peddle and push this garbage like a timeshare or car dealer. These are an arrogant, resentful people. “ Buy, peasant! Spend your money here as it is a privilege! How dare you not peak our superior language?” Their products are crap and their service is worse. Service with a sarcastic sneer. The moment the English speaking customers refuse to buy, that garbage staff will be thrown out on the street. That’s what that factory smelled like. Rotten cheese, hairy armpits and dead rats. It came from the salespeople .

Hours on the door say open till 18h45. Show up at 18h15 and someone’s waiting there to tell you they’re not open and to come back tomorrow. There were many people after us taking the time to walk down the hill so clearly the hours of operation are deceiving. Keeping your hours updated could prevent future disappointing brand experiences such as this one.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,
We thank you for taking the time to share your experience after coming to our Factory and Laboratory in Eze. It is with our full attention we read your feedback.
For almost a century, we've had the pleasure of welcoming you to our factories, open 7 days a week, where during production hours (9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday), you can see the maceration, filtering and packaging stages of our perfumes and the creation of our soaps.
From mid-April and currently, our Eze factory’s opening hours are from 9am to 6:45pm. The last tour departure is always an hour before closing, meaning at 5:45pm to ensure time and comfort to discover the perfume’s world. That’s why if you came at 6:15pm, you couldn’t take the tour but still could go to our shop.
We hope to welcome you soon for one of our free and guided tours during which, for 30 minutes, you discover the secrets of perfume making (raw materials, harvesting, extraction, distillation, formulation, bottling), the creation process, the job of the nose, the history of this precious juice and an olfactory game at the end of the tour.
Our Factory Laboratory in Eze is unique as it houses the laboratory dedicated to the manufacture of our cosmetics, shower gels and perfume-creams. The factory is located at the foot of the magnificent village of Eze, allowing you to walk to the heart of this typically Mediterranean village.
We invite you to contact us at reviews@fragonard.com to share your detailed advice on our opening hours so we can identify areas for improvement.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Warm regards,
The Fragonard Team

We came here on Saturday - and were given a tour for just my wife and me.
The lovely lady who showed us aroud expmained everything, took lots of time to answer our questions and spoke fantastic English.
The large shop was a highlight, too. We had the chance to try and smell to especially my wife’s heart’s content.
All in all time well spent for a nice experience. (the perfume museum town was a tad dull in comparison).

Very easy walk around the perfumery.
Steeped in history and very informative tour explaining how Fragonard came about.
As it was a Sunday they were not working in some of the areas but whilst our tour group was going around, another group of tourists on the other side were talking through a microphone which was very distracting whilst you were trying to listen to what was being said.
I found the body fragrances to be very over powering and most definitely not my vibe. I didn’t purchase anything from the shop as I had limited space on my hand luggage but they did have some lovely little gifts etc if you’re into all the florally girly soaps and fragrances.

Enjoyed attending the mini-perfumers workshop at the Fragonard factory in Eze. At 29 euros, it was a bargain! A beginner’s guide to making fragrances along with a brief overview of the Fragonard history and processes. I learned a bunch and I put those lessons to good use in the shop afterwards!

Toured today November 15, 2023. I love fragrances and was very much looking forward to this. While the tour was lovely and the scents very nice, I question the concentration of the Parfums sold at the end of the tour. I purchased a set of 6 Parfums one of them being Belle de nuit, which I tested on my skin to make sure it sits well. A few short hours later, the scent evaporated from my skin. I gave it another try from the bottle I purchased before going on an early evening stroll. Even worse. Couldn't smell it even within an hour. I usually wear less concentrated eau de Parfums that last way way longer. (COCO chanel, VR Flowerbomb). Disappointed that I spent over $250 on parfum that does not last. Could have spent that on very nice bottles of perfume with better longevity and sillage. I feel swindled. Lesson learned.

My husband and i are returning to this area this fall; we will be leaving from Monaco (our cruise ship is docking there). Do you happen to know where to catch the bus to Eze Village, and how often it runs? Thank you!
Written July 26, 2018
Hi, Bus 112 takes you from Monaco to Eze Village,it departs at the bus stop front of the Monte Carlo Tourist office.(Sorry I don`t know how often the buses go but at the Tourist office they will tell you everything)
If you know where the famous Casino Monte-Carlo is and the wee park front of it, the tourist office is just there across the park. Unfortunately it didn`t let to copy the google maps link, just type in on google maps Tourism office Monte-Carlo, address 2 Boulevard des Moulins, 98000 Monaco.
Have a nice journey, don`t forget to visit the Fragonard Parfum Factory in Eze Village, the tour in there is free of charge. Also in MOnaco there is a place up on the hill called Exotic Garden where you can explore a stalactite cave.

Plan to visit May 8-9-10th. I read mention of the tour in Eze as well as Grasse, that the one in Grasse is more in depth. Is this so? How do I find the options ?
Thank you
Written April 9, 2018
Dear Maggie,
Thank you for your question. The guided tour in Eze is a bit different than the one in Grasse, as follow:
The first, our Historic Factory in Grasse, offers a visit to the perfumer's workshop and organ, the distillery, the maceration and filtration workshop, the craft workshop and the soap factory. This is one of the last examples of the artisanal and family factories of the Grasse region. During production hours (from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm from Monday to Friday), you will be able to see the stages of maceration, filtering and conditioning of our perfumes, as well as the soap creation workshop.
Our Fleurs Factory, also in Grasse, is a real laboratory of production. Visitors discover the modern production processes (chromatography), the workshop and its packaging process. It introduces the different methods of extraction and processing of raw materials. During production hours (from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm from Monday to Friday), you will be able to see the stages of mixing fragrances, performing chromatographic quality tests and conditioning of perfumes, as well as our most important soap-making workshops.
Finally, our Laboratory Factory in Eze-Village allows the discovery of the secrets of manufacture of our cosmetic care products. During the production periods (from 9 am to 12 am and from 2 pm to 6 pm from Monday to Friday), visitors are able to see the design stages of our creams, shower gels and solid perfumes. A soap-making workshop is also available.
These free guided tour last around 30 minutes are followed by an olfactive discovery of Fragonard’s creations, displaying more than 90 years of traditional know-how and craftsmanship in the creation of perfume, all produced traditionally in our factories.
I hope it will answer your questions.
Warm regards,
The Fragonard team
