Visited the island in July 2016. It is a lovely spot, shaded walks and peaceful. Water was also beautiful but unfortunately unlike Cannes all the beaches were either pebbles or rocks. So although it is a lovely spot the beach is a little disappointing. The fort was also a little underwhelming pretty run down apart from the little museum. The... More

We decided not to visit the fort, instead we snorkelled in the clear sea and tanned on the beaches. Go for a walk to the other side of the island to see the insane amount of boats anchored between the two islands, what a sight!

Walked around the island with my daughter, 16 years old. About 8.5 km, especially enjoyed the south east. Great swimming and jumping of the cliffs. Will definitely return

I was told by many locals that this island tour was not to be missed. its only a 5 minute ferry ride for 15 euros, so no loss here, but it was good for about two hours. you walk around some trails and swim in gorgeous little spots. But its alright. its not a huge highlight. it was worth it,... More

We have taken the ferry over to this lovely island many times over the years. It is about a 15 minute ferry ride from several ports along the coast. The island is home to the old fort where the Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned. One can visit the fort and his cell for a small cost. A walk... More

We went straight to be museum at the Fort. Very interesting, and we'd have been too tired to do it at the end of the day. Teenagers up to 18 are classed as 'children' and free to enter. Adults are only €6.50. We spent about 1hr 30 looking around. All the major exhibits have English explanation. Yes, it is bakingly... More

The ferry from Cannes harbour takes 15 minutes, a pleasant breezy sunny experience. The island feels so calm, relaxed and enjoyable. You can walk in the forests, on the beach, swim in the clear water, or relax in the cafes. Sheer heaven. One of the best things to do in Cannes, which is rather devoid of interest.

If you have good weather this is totally worth the day trip. Wander the island, see the fort and more; ferry is very enjoyable.

It was a great choice to go there. The trip by ship its just 15-20 min. The island it very quite and green. We visit the museum where was the man with iron mask not so many things to see. After that we walk in the forest around, was very refreshing and the forest it was like in fairytale. I... More
