We did a tour of Nice, Monte Carlo, Eze and Monaco with Phillip on a shore excursion from our cruise ship. The booking process was easy as well as directions to get through the port area. Phillip was at the port waiting for us when we arrived. He gave us much information about the area without overwhelming us. The lap on the Grand Prix course was a highlight for me, and we were back at the port in a timely manner. I would definitely contact this company again!

The top notch experience with Provence Riviera Tours began with Franck as he helped me plan the day many months before our cruise. I was concerned on the length of tour that I should book based on the ship's time in port and tender transportation. Franck assured me from the start that there was no rush to decide now and that we could determine the exact number of hours as well as the towns we wanted to prioritize that day.
We arrived into Cannes via the NCL Epic and our guide Isoline greeted us shortly after we debarked. She was a delight from the start telling us all about her evening before - it was Music night (Fête de la Musique) with many free concerts and music in the streets that went well past midnight in her hometown. She guided us around Cannes (traffic heavy that morning) and on to Antibes, Nice, Eze, Monaco and Monte-Carlo and even managed to squeeze in Saint Paul de Vence on the return trip to Cannes. The entire day was a delight and the French Riviera is absolutely breath-taking. We enjoyed the wonderful company of our guide Isoline, so many amazing coastal views along the French Riviera where we stopped for photos, the medieval village of Eze where we walked around the village and up to the Le Jardin Exotique, at the top of the village. We enjoyed amazing views once again and then mentioned that we’d like to bring soaps/perfumes home from the region and she took us on to Fragonard, a perfume factory also in Eze. Our journey continued and as we got closer to Monaco (& Monte-Carlo), the number of exotic cars increased and my 16 year old son was in heaven, keeping tally on his ipod and taking pictures of his dream cars. On our return trip to Cannes, we stopped at Saint Paul de Vence (one of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera, now with many quaint shops) where we shopped and walked around the village. We ended the day with a quick tour through Cannes to see what we missed in the morning.
The day was one of our favorites - Isoline did an amazing job giving us time to walk around & take in the sites but still made the most of our all too short 8 hours in the French Riviera.

We (parents, husband and moi) wanted to see as much of the French Riviera as possible so we decided to do a private tour. At first I was a bit nervous about booking with this company because there were only a few reviews on Tripadvisor. I'm glad I took the chance. We decided to go on a 5 hour private tour with our guide, Calin. He was professional, knowledgeable, a good/safe driver, and very easy going, especially when dealing when playing 21 questions with my parents!! From the port at Cannes (Royal Caribbean, Mariner of the Seas), we drove through Nice, and stopped in Eze, Monaco, and Monte Carlo. Although our time was limited, we were able to get a good feel for the culture and history of each place. As with most of my reviews, I'm constantly looking for great value from each product or service - given how expensive most private tours are, this one was indeed a good value. Tip: If you decide to do the 5 hour tour, remember that you may have time to stop for a quick snack but not a full meal if you start at 9 or 10AM (unless maybe you customize your tour to allow for this).

As passengers on the Norwegian Epic, our party of 6 women (2 moms and 4 daughters, age range 48-72) opted for a private excursion for our stop at the port of Cannes on Sept. 18. What a great decision this was for us! Our tour guide Catherine was there to meet us at the port. While we had an itinerary in mind, we were a bit concerned that we were trying to rush too much into the day. Catherine asked us a few questions and then suggested a slight change in our itinerary. Everyone in our group quickly agreed to go with Catherine's suggestion and off we went. After driving through Cannes, we continued along the seaside to Antibes. What a beautiful place! After walking around, drinking a cup of coffee and buying some souvenirs, we were off too Nice. As we drove out of town, we noticed many sunbathers and some people swimming. We asked for a short stop so that a member of our group could put her feet in the water ( she wanted to be able to say she'd been in the sea!). Once we arrived in Nice, we were amazed at the beach and the number of people enjoying the water and the sand. While we had seen pictures of Nice, being there in person was so much better. We then continued our excursion to St. Paul de Vence, where we also had lunch. Another lovely, lovely stop! In total, our excursion was about 7 hours long. Now that we've experienced a private tour, we know it's definitely the way to go. We highly recommend Provence Riviera Tours. Thank you for making our visit so wonderful and making us feel special.

If you want to see how über rich roll, there is no better way than doing this trip. See their yachts, their multi million dollar condos and views and the private jets in nice airport and finally the one and only riviera views. Our tour guide Calin knows how and what to show and the scenic tour/drive is the best ever we have seen. We booked a private tour for two of us and we are glad we did that. We also are very glad out hotel concierge recommended this company. The best tour company. Thank you soul Calin Roman.

We booked a private Provence Riviera Tours for our cruise stop in Cannes on August 6th, 2012 for 6 people. We chose the Village Tour, which was a half day and took us to three medieval villages inland from the port. The villages we visited were breathtaking, very different that the scenery we had seen in Italy. I am very pleased with the choice to move away from the coastal cities and check out the countryside.
However, more important than the tour was our guide, Calin Roman. One friend on the tour got out at the first stop and her sandal broke making it impossible to walk in. Then, the winding road that follows the Gorge du Loup river got the best of her and we had to pull over for her to Christen the French road. Calin was sympathetic and kind as the day seemed to get worse, for her, by the minute. When we returned to the minivan at our last stop, Calin had a new pair of sandals and a single red rose in hand. He said he didn't want our memory of France to be spoiled by broken shoes and car sickness. Wow.

We took a shore excursion at Cannes with Provence Riviera Tours. It was excellent. Our group of six were comfortably seated in a mini-van, as our guide Callin pointed out all the key points from Cannes, Nice, Eze, Monaco and Montecarlo. We walked up to Eze, a beautiful medieval city located high on a rock overlooking the sea. In Monaco, we saw the changing of the palace guards along with the rest of the historical city. We stopped in a small restaurant there and got the best pizza we had the entire trip. Montecarlo was also very impressive. Callin's commentary and expertise made the trip even more memorable.

Took the half day Villages tour which visited three beautiful small villages. Too bad we had such little time to enjoy them. The first and last 45 minutes of our tour consisted of transporting the other guests to/from their hotels. The guide, who was personable enough, gave little commentary and allowed one loud mouthed yapper to monopolize him, and the front seat. Of the total 4.5 hours, we had no more than 30 minutes in each village. One of our fellow passengers remarked "what is this - a marathon?"

October 25, 2011 must have been the worst day of the year in Cannes when our ship the Ruby Princess anchored in the harbor, and we bobbed ashore in our tender. It was raining cats and dogs and most people canceled their tours. We were booked with Provence Riviera Tours. Our tour guide showed up on schedule and we began our tour in the rain. Isoline our driver/guide was very knowledgeable of the area. Driving that day and narrating must have been very taxing and I didn't wish for her job. We drove along the coast and watched heavy waves beat the shoreline. Isoline pointed out famous places along the way. We didn't stop at Nice as planned. The vendors at the flower market were almost nonexistent due to the rain. We drove on to Eze and had a tour of the perfume factory. We skipped going up to the top because of the slippery conditions. Continuing on to Monaco we stopped for a few pictures. They weren't great because of the weather. The tour at this point turned into a drive by of the famous places such as the Cathedral, and the palace. We drove on the Formula One Grand Prix track to Monte-Carlo and saw the Casino, and the big yachts. Traffic was light so we drove back along the coast . A quick stop at Nice for lunch was much appreciated on a day like this. We had to use our umbrellas to get to the restaurant. We ended the day in Saint Paul de Vence before driving back to Cannes. In Saint Paul de Vence it was still raining but we grabbed our umbrellas and made the best of it.
One can only imagine what this tour would have been on a sunny day. In spite of the weather we were pleased with our tour and our guide. If I ever get to do this tour again I would love to have her as a guide.
