About Petit Train de Cannes
For a ride through the relatively narrow streets of Vieux Cannes (Le Suquet), board the train at a clearly designated site along La Croisette on its seaward side. Both tours depart every hour; each lasts between 30 and 40 minutes and each costs between 5€ and 6€ for adults, and between 2.50€ and 3€ for children under 10, depending on the tour. (The tour of the old town is the less expensive.) A combination ticket granting access on both of the two tours (which can be enjoyed on separate days, if you prefer) costs 8€ for adults and 5€ for children under 10. For details, call tel. 06-14-09-49-39.

Hallo, we are a tourist couple who wanted today to make the big tour with the “le petit train in” Cannes. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with the guy who was responsible for the clients. We asked exactly if there is going to be the tour at 4.30 o clock and he said of course, you can take a seat and I will come to be payed. So we were sitting and we were waiting with patients until 4.50 o clock without response from anybody there. 4 people werde hanging out and we’re talked and talked without giving any notice. Until I went asking if we are finally going to start the tour. Everyone from this 4 guys were extremely unfriendly, rude and ironic, saying that they are not making the tour because we are only 4 persons in the train. The problem is, that they saw as all this time sitting there and they didn’t had the kindness to inform us about this. Where should we know about this, especially if we can’t speak the language and it is written as the one of the smart man said. It is unacceptable such a behaviour and we are really very disappointed from your employer! So sad that they couldn’t understand their mistake and this ironic behaviour was for us unacceptable. You should be very careful wat for people you have sitting there…

After asking, we sat in the train waiting for departure. After waiting for 20 minutes after the announced departing time (the drivers were chatting all the time while watching us) we asked why the tour was not starting. Then they informed us that there must be a minimum of 10 people to start. We wasted 20 minutes waiting for nothing. The drivers are careless. Never again.

Trip was OK, just remember traffic in Cannes is busy, one route takes you down the “High street” which is packed with shoppers, cars and traffic lights so this took about 25 mins which on a clear run could be 5 mins. That said, due to this the train stopped high on the hill overlooking the Cannes bay for a photo opportunity.

I took the train on Sunday afternoon, the price is 12 EUR they only accept cash. Being still amid Coronavirus, I am not sure the seats, front panel or earphones are disinfected between 2 rides. Masks not required. Lovely journey, they take you along the most famous and beautiful hotels and beaches in the world, famous Foreville market, and you have 10 mins of free time by the Musée de la Castre, a place on the hilltop of the Old Town which offers amazing views. Agree with the previous comment that there wasn’t enough information but too much music. Overall a very positive experience, would definitely recommend!
