Perfect for people watching

Great views over the bay, and in the late afternoon, the locals parade up and down, great to sit and watch, and partake as well, if you wish.

We spent five days in the Riviera area and on one day we visited Cannes. Although preparations were going on for the Cannes Film Festival which was imminent, we managed to get a space easily in the underground car park near the tourist office. It was then lovely simply to stroll along the promenade or La Croisette as it is... More

After St. Tropez and Monaco we came to Cannes for a visit. First we walked along the famous La Croisette. Later on we went to the Rue d'Antibes and Rue Meynadier. La Croisette is a nice walk along the water. (Palm)Trees and lawns, small snack bars, restaurants at and on the beach....all very nice. But somehow lacking a bit of... More

This is a wonderful place to walk and people watch. Particularly at the time of the festivals. With the sun out it is a delight. Stroll slowly even if you are needing to get somewhere quickly. It is one of those places where you can take a moment and absorb.

Well, what can I say? Strolling along La Croisette in brisk spring weather is heavenly. In early May the water is crystal clear and the beaches are almost empty, but you still find people appreciating the lost art of 'the stroll' along the boardwalk. On one side is the Mediterranean. On the other side are glitzy Haute Couture shops. You... More

In Cannes, you have to walk along La Croisette.. blue waters on one side and the world famous hotels on the other.. a heady mix of glamour and nature :) loved this place. We also took the petite train which starts from here... it is a good way to orient yourself about the city.

What do I need more? The city is caring about palms, plans and the green gras. You can watch people, the beach, the hotels, brand new expensive cars. You can sit down and have a drink, coffee or you can dine. Do not forget shopping. See the most exlusive shops and brands. Come to Cannes, stay in one of the... More

If you enjoy the setting sun and the wonderful ambience of Cannes the Croisette is a lovely place to while an hour in the evening just sitting and watching the tremendous amount of people walking by which can be quite an amusing experience
