Pretty medieval village on a hill with great views. Take the free shuttle bus from the town. A selection of restaurants and small stores abound. The old Chateau Grimaldi offers an interesting look at days gone by and great views.

We were vacationing in Antibes and decided to visit a few of the hilltop towns. We took the #200 bus to Cagnes sur mer to St Bourdet Square. There we took the free shuttle bus #44 up to the old town. Haut de Cagnes was great. When we arrived early, there were only locals there. Shortly after a tour arrived... More

If you are looking for an unspoiled hilltop village near Nice with incredible views of the Med look no further than Haut de Cagnes. This is the real thing with schools and families and yes, even senior citizens. 650 residents call Haut de Cagnes home and while wandering down the narrow alleyways you may hear the shouts and laughter of... If you are relatively fit and able, then I recommend a 15/20 minutes the walk from the main town area up the hill to Haut de Cagnes. This is a very pretty medieval ( or older) hill town with a main square and stunning views. On the way into the square there is a small shop selling drinks etc and... More

Walked here from our hotel. Lovely medieval village to explore. Main square with cafes and restaurants. Didn't have time to visit the museum. Great views. Took free navette bus into town. Would make a good base or else spend a bit longer there to see everything.

The title is a bit naff, but this place is truly magical. Cobbled lanes, alleyways, tunnels and passageways. Everywhere you look is a photo opportunity. Not full of tourists like St Paul de Vence, real people live here. Beautiful views in all directions, towards the Mediterranean and the mountains. A wonderful place to escape the modern world.

Wow, if you like quaint and old, you will love this place. A 13th century village with narrow cobbled streets and arched alleyways galore to explore and get lost in. Fabulous views from the top over to the sea one way and the snow capped mountains the other way. Lots of rustic and traditional restaurants and bars to chose from... More

Typical French village, nice and quite place to visit. The Museum Chateau Grimaldi and the Suzy Solidor portraits collection surely worth a visit as well.

The view is fantastic. You can see the white topped mountains. There are also a few excellent restaurants on the hill. The old town is a living town, not only a collection of tourist shops as many of old towns.

You can take a bus or a taxi to get up and down the hill, though if the weather isn't too harsh its a lovely little village to explore on foot and its not too far from the centre of Cagnes-sur-Mer. There are some nice views out towards Monaco as a bonus.
