It is worth going up there, having lunch at the square. Stroll down through the old town to the square Bourdet, it is a wonderful walk.

This is a magnificent scenic hilltop village well worth the effort to get to - the Chateau Grimaldi Museum is full of interest and there is a range of bars and restaurants on the way up to the top and also around the square.

Great place to visit. Spectacular mountain views, many places to eat. However, the on-and-off bus strike can make this inaccessible for all but the very fit. There is a 44 bus that does a 15min loop around the Haut and connects with all the other buses. But for a couple of days this bus was cancelled due to a strike... More

We enjoyed spending a few hours up in the old town, in the castle and then in the square. Great views from the top of the castle of all around.

Stumbled across this amazing little hill top village after visiting the more touristy (but admittedly stunning) St Paul de Vence. It's well worth a wander through the narrow medieval streets, a visit to the hidden little church and of course the castle. Lots of lovely restaurants at the square behind the castle, plus boules and a great play park. After... More

One of our visits to the coast in South of France we took our 3 children to this castle, on top of a mountain village, so charmimg where my husband worked as a young chef over 40 years ago, we promised them a lunch in a castle. WOW! They never expected this, a panoramic view of the coast, on top... More
