I am probably not objective as I was born in Cagnes Sur Mer, but this is definitely one of the most amazing place ever. It is so peaceful, quiet, and gorgeous. The around scenery at nightfall is so romantic. I always take my British friends up to the haut de Cagnes. If you drive, you should leave your car in... More

This village is on a much smaller scale to nearby St Paul de Vence. It has a lovely square with good restaurants and the views aren't that great.

A lovely morning was spent by my husband and I at the Haut de Cagnes. The walk from the promenade at Cagnes sur Mere to the top was quite long and steep (my husband prefers to walk!) but well worth it. You can see for miles at the top. We both did think the small town was not as pretty... More

The free shuttle bus every 10 minutes or so is a godsend with so many lovely restaurants at the top of the hill

If you enjoy the peacefulness of the hillsides and the no-worry feeling that dwells in small historic villages, you'll fit right in. Haut de Cagnes is a beautiful place to live in and the main square on top of the village houses some incredible restaurants as well. Take the free shuttle bus down from to the water level, and you... Though the town of Cagnes-sur-Mer is one of the less interesting ones on the Riviera, this medieval town behind it, topped by the old Chateau Grimaldi is definitely worth visiting. Winding roads take you around the beautiful old stone houses, in continuous habitation since medieval times. Beautiful vistas all around from the Grimaldi square in front of the chateau.

It is worth going up there, having lunch at the square. Stroll down through the old town to the square Bourdet, it is a wonderful walk.

This is a magnificent scenic hilltop village well worth the effort to get to - the Chateau Grimaldi Museum is full of interest and there is a range of bars and restaurants on the way up to the top and also around the square.

Great place to visit. Spectacular mountain views, many places to eat. However, the on-and-off bus strike can make this inaccessible for all but the very fit. There is a 44 bus that does a 15min loop around the Haut and connects with all the other buses. But for a couple of days this bus was cancelled due to a strike... More

We enjoyed spending a few hours up in the old town, in the castle and then in the square. Great views from the top of the castle of all around.
