A great little museum on two floors, telling everything about Biot from the beginning of time. Very clear and instructive tour of ceramics through the centuries, well curated and signposted.

Very interesting history of Biot in 10 sections (main signs in French and English, subsidiary signs in French only), finishing with a display of local artwork. Glasswork it turns out has only been the main activity in Biot for the past 60 years, with pottery and derivatives the main industry prior. 4 euros for adults, free for kids under 10.

...with some nice little art (ceramics exhibit). Nothing to write home about, but centrally located and easy.

An excellent local museum explaining the history and importance of pottery in Ancient Rome and this area of Provence. Massive jars holding oils and produce are on display — original archeological finds!

Allow an hour to look around and take in the history of the village expressed in ceramic history and design. A fascinating small museum. See if you can find how many ceramic jars were made and used to export produce on horseback in a single year - its a big number!
