After a long walk up to Le Phare, was disappointed with it but the view was pleasant. If you walk up the signs are not well described. There was just pictorial images of a walker, to indicate walking track. There was no sign for Le Phare

I'm an avid lighthouse enthusiast, back home, I almost visited all the popular lighthouses in east coast from the oldest to the best one, this one is just ordinary but different in style.

A nice walk up the hill from Blvd. du Cap if you want to exercise, also by car parking is possible. On a nice day you have a panoramic view of Antibes since it is the highest point of Cap D'Antibes. One would be able to see the blue Mediterranean between the trees on both side. The chapel is renovated... More

Perhaps it's because the sky was pretty hazy the day we were there, and perhaps it's because the bushes and shrubs were so overgrown, but we really couldn't get excited about the view from up here. It should have been spectacular, but we were left feeling deluded at how little we could see. sad face.

A few years ago this place was a wonderful area to visit as the church, full of memorabilia from the old sailing community, and the lighthouse were open to the public. Unfortunately the church is closed for renovations and has been for some time. The old lighthouse is now for the sole use of military personnel and the cafe serves... More

Took the local bus from Antibes (direction Edenroc) for one euro - valid for one hour of travel so you will need another ticket on way back. The climb up the road to the Phare (lighthouse) is not too arduous, leafy and cutting between some magnificent villas that are worth peeking at through hedges etc. Up at the Phare de... More

Did the Route De Calvarie walk up past the 14 Stations. A fairly short but stiff incline (good walking shoes needed). Unfortunately both Chapels and the lighthouse at the summit were closed at the time of our visit which was in the morning, One Chapel was being refurbished and the other only opened on certain afternoons.

The fisherman's chapel is interesting but unless you drive up, you need to be fit to climb the donkey track to the top.
