Wonderful Congregation
Dec 2019
I actually went to church here one Sunday while in Antibes. Everyone was very welcoming even though I didn't know much French! The church is beautiful to say the least, located right near the museum it is a must see!

Great history and a highly rated favorite of my of my visit to Antibes. It is next to the museum and should not be missed if you are into old churches or religious sites.

Pleasant church
Nov 2019 • Couples
This is a pleasant church in the older part of town. We walked from the harbour and along the sea wall and the Cathedral is on the right.

Beautiful building outside and inside
Sep 2019
This is a beautiful place to visit, and lovely on a hot day, as it is cool inside. Has many statues and plaques to view.

Modest cathedral in sweet spot in old town Antibes
Sep 2019
This modest cathedral which overlooks the sea in Antibes next to the Grimaldi palace seems new but old. And it is - rebuilt and rebuilt over the centuries. It was originally built over the site of a pre-Christian pagan temple. St. Paul was supposedly arrested here in AD 67 while en route to Spain. Talk about a historical site - and it feels like it. All the walkways in this area felt heavily haunted to me. I especially loved the old church doors - the main ones and the others. In the interior, its historical treasures seem few and fragile, perhaps a reflection of the general everyday limits of the incomes of the congregation. But its spirit must be large - an active church life schedule and calendar were there, ready to accommodate all comers. Not far from the Marche towards the sea.

Beautiful building

This is a very beautiful cathedral which is hard to miss as it is just by the Museum Picasso and Marche Provençal.
Very impressive both inside and outside.

Some artworks worth the effort to visit
Jun 2019
Impressive carved wooden doors as you walk into the cool interior from the hot sunshine (carved 1710 by Joseph Dolle, a local craftsman). Numerous ornate altars all the way up either side towards the main altar. Beautiful artwork by Louis Bréa, Notre Dame de la Rosaire (1515). Even if you’re sick of visiting historic church after church, these are all worth seeing.

Nice Cathedral in town
Jul 2019 • Couples
Cathedrale Notre Dame de la Platea d'Antibes is located next to the Museum Picasso within the Old Town. Archectural artworks within the Cathedrale are nice. During our visit there, we could listen to the choir singing and we sat down and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful Cathedrale
May 2019 • Couples
Stunning Cathedral. Easy to find in the old town. Offers peace and tranquility within its beautiful old walls. The art work and arcitecture is handsome and tells tales of the history and trauma it has withstood over the years.
If you are lucky you can sit and be part of a service or listen to the choir singing.
A place to go and sit quietly and just be in this mad word we are in.

We enjoyed it
May 2019 • Couples
This is a fine church that serves a religious purpose for the town, not necessarily a tourist destination. We loved it.
