Nothing special but you can't really avoid it. Oneils isn't bad for a bit to eat and the tourist office is accross the road. The park is nice. Further up are maccas, FNAC and the town hall on the way to Palais des Papes

It is a good land mark but not good for eating, drinking or shopping. Seek out the side streets as there is nothing out of the ordinary here. It is quite disappointing and has been given over to commercialism. The worst gelato I have ever...More

While living in Centre Ville I walked Rue de la Republique daily. Plenty of ATMs to keep your wallet full, plenty of restaurants to keep your tummy full, and plenty of stores to shop so that you need to start all over again!

The street itself is not a tourist attraction, but if you need to restock your fridge (for your rented place), buy some clothes, eat something cheap and fast, this is your street. There's a big supermarket, a McDonald's, some bars, a Crêpe place, and clothing...More

This is the main street of Avignon. It's inside the walls, and lots of attractions and interesting architecture can be found by veering off onto a side street. All types of stores to go into, restaurants, etc. It's a very active place, and you can...More

Stroll down the Rue de la Republic and enjoy the shops and the people gazing. It is the center of the Old City town.

Perfect place for a stroll in the evening. Restaurants focused on tourists ( if you look for pizza, hamburgers and so on, this is the place)

Walk this main drag or find a bench and people watch or shop, or eat or do nothing at all! In terms of the 1960s this place is a happenin' and you will want to be part of it. Google it, look at the pictures...More

The main 'Big shops' shopping street in town - FNAC, Monoprix, H&M etc. Also McDonalds and other big name brands if that's your thing. Runs out of steam after the tourist office going towards the station.

This is a rather modern high street for shopping with many different stores and small shops and cafes. Even a McDonalds. The shops are modern, but if you go a block or two away you can see some of the old more stylist and excellent...More
