As far as tourist destinations go, this was good value for money. The histopads were very good and provided plenty of interactivity for all ages and provided a useful map and tour around the palace. It took the right amount of time and kept us...More

We visited today, really enjoyed the visit. We bought a family ticket for €45 which included the Palais des Papes and the Pont d'Avignon. The 'histopads' were free and were a great use of technology, bringing the rooms to life and adding interest for the...More

Arrived there yesterday at about 14 h with my family at the main entrance and joined the (only) waiting queue. There were some 10 people ahead of us. 2 officials stood there boredly in the shade chatting with one another. After 20 minutes of waiting...More

We queued for an hour in the rain to be herded into the entrance where we queued again to pay for entry. At the entry point we were told that the walkie talkies had all been handed out, the tablets too and any other audio...More

Basically the main attraction in the city. The walls, the arts, the museums are all fascinating as well.

I suggest that even before you enter the palace for a tour, check the website for any events that might be happening. We were there for the rose bush competition, where hundreds of rose varieties were on display in planters. I believe many were for...More

Interesting tour, you get a histopad at the entrance which shows you in 3D how each room was back in the days, while listening to the narrative. Count an hour or so to do the visit, there is even a cafe on the rooftop to...More

Not sure about which day but would get there as early as you can to avoid the mid morning tour groups.
