If you are interested in following the history of Van Gogh then you must come to this former hospital and see the place where Van Gogh painted in interior courtyard. Really interesting story about the troubled life of Van Gogh. There are some nice shops and coffee shop here as well. It is beautiful interior courtyard with fountain and flowers... More

See this as part of the Van Gogh tour of places he painted. The garden is laid out in a quadrant and is very pretty. The building was a health care building where Van Gogh stayed for a short time in recuperations from depression (bi-polar condition).

Its really just a place that you duck into and then look around. But not much has changed since Van Gogh was a patient there, so that in itself is worth seeing. Make sure you look from the direction of his room into the garden to fully realize the sameness of the plaza. Also, the gift shop has the best... More

If you're on the Van Gogh trail, you must look in at this lovely garden that he painted while in hospital here. Somewhat tucked away, but worth the stop.

This is a lovely place as Van Gogh found! Lovely to get out of heat and have a coffee, be warned it can get busy

It is only a small space. Hard to imagine Van Gogh being here and painting in the garden. But it is quite pretty and the streets around it are very picturesque.

I expected more... I love Van Gogh and I came to Arles because of the year he spent here... there is not much developed around him, besides a picture with a brief note placed on this location, an asylum or hospital at the time, were he lived and that he painted. It's worth paying a visit, but don't expect too... More

It was amazing to see this inner courtyard almost as Van Gogh had painted it all those years ago indeed there was a copy of his painting for us to compare. Absolutely wonderful

There isn't a Van Gogh in this museum or even a knock-off in the gift shop. Money had been spent on this museum but it isn't worth the visit. Staff was cold. Relation to work of Van Gogh was a mystery

Hidden away from the bustle and hustle - This square has lots of colourful flowers and is a nice place to sit and contemplate what life would have been like in Van Goughs day!
