I would walk through here if staying in this neighborhood. It is not worth a special trip but is worth a walk through just to enjoy the park for a bit. Could be a detour back into town if you’ve walked up to L’atelier de Cezanne. It is a detour. It’s a very quiet and pleasant spot.

It will take about 10 minutes to see everything and that’s if you’re over 75. The garden might be more impressive in warmer weather.

Pavillion is beautiful but quite small and had very little on exhibit. Garden is quaint and had some shade on a wickedly hot day. Fine if your nearby but not worth a long walk from central Aix. Hotel Caumont a much better option

Nice and peaceful on a warm sunny day. The museum was closed. Nearby however one will find the number 12 bus stop. (Diversion in place when we visited so check with tourist information). The number 12 bus goes to Couteron. Get on it and travel to the end of the route. Get off the bus and walk back down the route about 1/4 mile. Why? You will find a tiny cafe/restaurant called L’Abreuvoir. Nothing else in sight. Settle down for a lovely simple French experience. Great hospitality, lovely food, wine and cheese. Best of all meet the locals. We went for lunch and by the end felt as if we were with neighbours. Many of the locals turn up for lunch and laugh and chat together whilst still giving us privacy. A wonderful experience. Couldn’t leave a specific review on this site as the location and restaurant were not recognised. Really needs its own listing. The address, 1240 Chemin de la Presidente. Enjoy!
