Pavillon de Vendome is located far away from centre of town. So if you decide to explore Aix by foot it is good promenade across the city, approx. 20-25 minutes. I decided to go there and see one more Aix sight. As soon as I arrived there I found out that building has closed because Tuesday. I was disappointed but... More

Stunning gardens and beautiful house with a wonderful background which can be visited at certain times. A lovely place to sit and relax.

I have only visited the gardens, which were really beautiful. Really worth walking from the old town.

Absolutely nothing to see inside. A waste of money. Gardens are free and very lovely. Worth the walk from town

The Pavillon de Vendome is located in the central area of Aix-en-Provence. The gardens are a nice peaceful oasis. (There is a free public restroom near the children's playground off the main garden a little bit.) The Pavillon de Vendome is a 3 story villa - a little run down, but ok for the ~ 4 euros it cost to... More

I had read online about the Pavillion de Vendome and looked forward to a visit. The history of the Villa is interesting and from the description of the interior it should have been a highlight of Aix en Provence. So sad. It was dark and dirty. I understand antiquities and very old buildings and problems that the sun can cause,... More

Visited this place to see the architecture and little garden. Very beautiful place and an oasis of quiet off a busy street. Very helpful staff in the gallery.

Always on the look-out for somewhere to read and contemplate, I toured the gardens available in the centre of Aix. This is my favourite. There are lovely gardens and plenty of seating facing all ways, so choice of sun or shade is seldom a problem. My only disappointment is that even in June, the little man comes and locks the... Someone suggested that we stop by this beautiful area, or else we never would have noticed it! We appreciated the beautiful garden.
