A very long yet enjoyable walk for any hiking enthusiast! Main part of the walk is a bit tough so you won't necessarily bring children with you. However do bring great shoes!

What a place! You can walk up from the very bottom or there are car parks placed at various places on the way up. There are beautiful walks of differing difficulties so whether you're a granny, a family with small children or fairly fit it will suit all. Bring a picnic, loads of places to sit and relax with great... More

One can drive all the way around the mountain. Beautiful hilly countryside. This is what the Luberon should look like. The drive is not listed in the guidebooks, but can be found on-line. The French like to drive clockwise, so we did as well. Stopped in Vauvenargues, a hillside village behind the mountain, for a pleasant lunch and the best... More

Look out for the donkey farm. this is one of the least crowded attractions in Provence. The rock formations are very interesting and the air is great.

This mountain will be very familiar to art-lovers, as the great painter Cezanne featured it in dozens of his works. Worth climbing if you have time. If not, just enjoy looking at it, particularly from the south.

We began at the trailhead that is at Barrage de Bimont. From the parking area, walk over the dam and follow the blue trail markers. It took us about 2 hours 15 minutes to the top. The view of the lake is lovely and the views from the top are fantastic. It is quite steep and rocky in places. The... More

I was married just a few kilometres from this mountain. Full view from the restaurant terrace. Hiked it many times. Just take your bottle of local wine, two glasses, some local cheese, etc. And just spend the day enjoying nature, the sun and your partner. Easy walk. Great for photography.
