Great to visit here on a Saturday while the flower market is on. Beautiful architecture in a superb town square location. Sip a drink in a cafe & admire the view!

A few years ago we made a Saturday day trip from our base in Avignon to Aix-en-Provence and were so enthralled with the city that this year when we came to Provence we used Aix as our base while we explored southern France. While Aix is itself a beautiful place filled with stunning architecture, Place de l'Hotel was what lured... More

Hotel de Ville is a beautiful elegant 17th century building dominating gorgeous Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, the heart of sophisticated Aix. The facade with wrought iron balcony and adjacent bell tower gracefully blend together in a harmonious ensemble. One of the most memorable highlights of our day trip to Aix.

Don't miss a visit to the Hotel de Ville in Aix-enProvince. The architecture is wonderful, and is situated in one of Aix-en-Provence's lovliest squares. The displays and history is well worth learning about.

The Hotel de Ville is a wonderful building located in a lovely tree lined square where flower markets are held a number of days each week. The facade, front doors, entrance court, stairs and public areas upstairs are very historic and interesting and in rustic and authentic condition.

Loved this town hall, located next Place Richelme / Farmer's Market in Old Town Aix. It is open to the public, visits are free.

As others have mentioned I too was directed to this building for the (free) bathroom. Such a nice surprise to feel the history of the building and the large courtyard with a few strewn flower petals from a previous wedding event.

My friend and I were staying at in Aix-en-Provence for two weeks not far from Hotel de Ville - we visited the building during the week and saw the town council room and the paintings but the highlight for us was watching the wedding ceremonies taking place each Saturday at the registry office. It was such a delight to watch... More

My four points rating is because it is always open to visits. A nice place but nothing special, except the old iron main door.
