Nice area

We came across this large open area while wandering the streets. It is quite spacious and it is the place to come to if you wish to find a restaurant to sit down and have a meal. We didn't sit but just looked around. The place looks nice enough and in mild weather it would be the perfect spot to relax and unwind for a while.

This is a large concrete square that appears to sit on top of a car park and has several different levels. There was nothing of note in the square other than a rather ordinary partially moss covered fountain and a plethora of restaurants offering a variety of different cuisines.

Cooling sensation

The fountain here is not particularly attractive. However, fountains like Cardeurs, located in a large, paved square surrounded by tall brick buildings reflecting hot sunlight, manage to lend a sense of coolness to those dining in the many outdoor restaurants nearby.
