This was much better than I expected, the `simple entrance ticket ` at 16 euros was more than adequate, 19 euros included an English audio guide. My French is poor and the written information within the aquarium is excellent so I do not think that...More

A little smaller than expected or compared to carribean aquarium but very varied, lots of species and good documentation around. Need to book ticket online before coming to avoid queue.

We have visited aquariums in the United States and a few other countries. Our expectations were not high since we thought we would be enjoying just "another" aquarium. Boy, we're we wrong. The Las Rochelle aquarium is magnificent. A beautiful layout. Each room was fascinating....More

It's worth paying the 3€ extra to access the audio commentary - some very interesting species held within although the huge tank holding a number of sharks won hands down - commentary was interesting and informative

A busy modern aquarium with lots to see. I liked the audio guide. Very revealing and brought the tanks to life. Well worth the extra €3. Good experience overall.

The aquarium in La Rochelle was such a rewarding experience for the whole family. Facilities were friendly and educational. Our little boy learned so much. Translations catered for a range of languages which also added to the fun-filled day. Highly recommended.

First recommendation - book tickets in advance which is simple to do online as it will save you lots of time queuing. The aquarium and experience was fantastic and therefore the crowds were understandable. We did not take the audio tour but all the displays...More

We eventually bought €15 morning tickets on-line with no problems. Glad we did, the queues to buy tickets looked long. There doesn't seem to be a way to buy the cheaper ticket at the moment.
