We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Musee des Arts du Cognac. It was easy to find and is close walking distance from the Charente River if arriving by boat. From the many ancient and different Cognac bottles and equipment on display to the short film clips showing the production process, all was interesting. The building is modern and clean and... More

With another engagement looming we didn’t spend as much time here as we could have. It’s a really good museum, with plenty to see and interact with (for adults and children) all surrounding the craft of cognac production and the art that surrounds that. We were the only ones in the museum at the time so all the activities were... More

The entrance sets the stage for a wonderful experience. Beautiful paintings and works of art are shown. A history of the location and the art of making cognac.

Took family to see how cognac is distilled, we walked to the museum from the town centre after parking near the river. There are many other distilleries to visit in the town. The train around the centre is good for people who find it difficult to walk.

It was tough for me to pick a rating for this place - the staff are very friendly, it was nice to have the English translation available and with a price of 4 Euro, it's worth the money. I have to say that during the first part when it was just a ton of old Cognac bottles and old equipment... More

My wife and I spent a week in Cognac - and what a week! We visited four cognac houses and learned a lot. But before we went on the first such tour, we visited this museum and it was time incedibly well spent. I highly recommend a visit to this musuem before going on any specific cognac house tour because... More

The museum is situated near the quai along the river. You can have headphones if you like for translation. Interesting to see how cognac was made through time and its process and how local people lived

Stumbled across this whilst following the cognac walking tour....small museum, very good, staff friendly and tour has English headphone translation that kicks in at the exhibits....very useful! Great overview of the history, manufacture and promotion of cognac....lots of child friendly stations....great to do before a visit to the cognac cellars
