We found this museum by chance and were struck by the preservation of the old machinery in the mill on the River Charente.
Sadly the description panels are obviously in French, one can understand how the mill itself worked from the rivers power.

The 3D art was very good the whole exhibition was only worthy of an hour of your time and while not expensive there isn't a whole lot there for a single visit but if doing other things would fill an hour.
We came upon the Musee du papier completely by chance after a wonderful day out in Angouleme. A fascinating insight into paper making and the rôle of the Charante as an important part of industry in the area.
