The Combier distillery was founded in 1834 in the Loire Valley. Since the creation of the Original Triple sec, a delicious orange liqueur made with bitter and soft orange peels, the distillery has never stopped producing distinguished liqueurs and other spirits in the same original copper stills. We offer you today a full handcrafted range of liqueurs, aperitifs, premium absinthes, syrups and organic syrups. For an english guided tour, please contact us!

The tour was interesting but beware - the tours are in French in August! I was quite happy with the start of the tour, when talking about the history of Combier and Triple Sec. because the tour guide was using words I understood - then...More

This tour is 4 euros a head, it involves being shown the distillery which is 115 yrs old and still used during the week. It can get busy and difficult ( although potentially more interesting) during the week as they still make all the products...More

The guided tour in this distillery is very interessting. The process of making orange licor provides a nice story. But you have to understand French. If you don't just tast the licor at the end of the tour. Delicieus!

I wasn't familiar with the name Combier, mainly known for Triple Sec, but there is quite some history behind this name. Although the distillery in itself is pretty small, the guided tour was very interesting. The tasting that followed the tour took as long, if...More

It's a distillery, famous for its Triple Sec. There are tours of the place and of course a tasting and the shop. I give it very good more so for the product than the actual distillery. Worth a look for an adult crowd.

They said that this place was still in use...I looked around and could see no real evidence...no real smell, dirty, no real stock of ingredients...just some odd sacks of absinthe strategically placed...and it's too small...I think it is a con to keep the story alive...More
