The guided tour is a must in order to fully appreciate and understand the activities around the school. You will also get a chance to go up close to the most beautiful and elegant horses.

While researching my new Loire book, I took the time to stop in at the Equestrian Center to see the training facilities for the uber-professional Cadre Noir. I was delighted that I enjoyed an English speaking tour and got to go up-close-and-personal with the riders, horses, and facilities. What a superb visit for the whole family! I can't include all... We took our daughters 6&4 to this thinking it would be interesting. It was even though we are not into horses in any way. We managed to get on an English tour, guide very knowledgeable, you get to see who ever is exercising their horses, the automated stables that clear manure and the feeding machine that works on a timer.... We were lucky enough to be attending a conference at this venue, a truly wonderful experience. We were privileged to see a demonstration of the training methods for the Airs Above the Ground, as well as the normal public show of the Cadre Noir. We had a behind-the-scenes stable tour, and basically were free to wander anywhere in the ground... More

We've been lucky to attend some great equestrian events but I have to say this would be right up there with them. For some reason I couldn't book in advance on line for a morning performance and it was a good hour and a half through the traffic from our campsite so I was a bit anxious about getting tickets... We attended a performance of the Cadre Noir in early July 2016 - 2 adults and 2 kids. I was looking forward to it, but I would warn that there are no guided tours held on the performance days, and it would have been nice to combine the two. The performance itself lasted an hour, and you did have the... More

We were lucky enough to be in the area on one of the few dates there is a performance here. I am so glad we went. €19 may seem a lot for a 60 minute performance, but it is worth every centime! The precision, discipline, skill and dedication of the horses and their trainers/riders was awesome. It was an amazing... More

I went here when a friend of mine was in a horse seminar in Saumur, so thanks to that I got to wander amongst the grounds but didn't take a tour. The architecture was absolutely magnificent The Grande Menage was spectacular and the stables were gorgeous. It's beautiful to see these magnificent creatures, I got to see some training which... What an experience! True culture and expertise! Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. The experience we had going round the stables and training ground was fantastic, a real insight into the dedication and commitment of both horse and rider.

We booked tickets for a public performance at the Cadre Noir during our recent visit to Saumur. When we arrived on the morning of the performance there were no signs indicating that the performance had been cancelled. As we were early we wandered around the facility which had some interesting exhibits and we watched some horses being schooled. 15 mins... More

Dear Mr and Mrs O Donovan, naturally we really understand your disappointment and we are terribly sorry for that. We warned all our customers by e-mail or phone the day before. Unfortunatly, some of them didn't get the information on time. If you have in the future the opportunity to return to the Saumur region, we shall be glad to... More
