A 40 Minute Tour around the Historic Centre

Hopped on at 3 pm. Each carriage has the tour guide narrated in their requested language. Love these little trips as you get to see parts of the town you would never find yourself.

I have mixed feelings about this one, and I've taken many petit trains in France so I can compare. The good: chances are you're in Angers for 2-3 days max, and 9 times out of 10 you are bound to stay in the city center with its castle, cathedral and etc. The train goes to the other side of the... It's worth taking this trip as a quick way of getting orientated in Angers. It takes a route similar to the suggested walking route around the historic centre (as described on the street map available in most hotels), but it would take over two hours to do this on foot. The train has three cars, and on the day we... More

Excellent english language commentary. Well chosen route that covered important places we would not otherwise have visited

After a day of sightseeing, it was pleasant to sit down and be driven to places we hadn't been. The train leaves between the tourist office and the castle about every hour. The tour is in French, but they'll lend you a booklet in English. We were only in Angers a short time, so it was good to go across... More

What a great way to see the city and to learn its history! The train starts the tour just outside the castle opposite the Tourist Office and costs just 6.50€ and is a ride along tour with no stops for passengers to get off. Before we got on the train, we were given a folder in English which was full... More

This was a relaxing and informative way to gain an insight into the history of Angers - much the same as a hop-on-hop-off bus tour that most cities offer. We always try to take advantage of this type of tour to get a feel for the area before exploring alone. There are a few language options and I feel it... More

It was lovely to see such historic buildings and to find out when and why they were founded. It is a lovely comfy little train and the music was ver relaxing.

Who cares about street cred? It was a really good trip with each carriage with a different language commentary. A valuable 40 minutes for just over €6 but worth it. You really couldn't walk anything like the route in less than 3 hours. Transparent carriage roofs allowed vision upwards which was very useful too. Pick up the train outside the... More

The train is fun to be on though a little uncomfortable. The commentary is in French but you are given an English transcript. It is a city tour on a small scale on a silly train. If you are concerned about your image this train may not be for you! :-). Gives good understanding of the town. 6€ for adults.
