Lovely cathedral with free entry. The stained glass windows are amazing as was the crib at the cathedral entrance.

Beautiful Cathedral w. Great Windows
Oct 2019 • Solo
The cathedral is awesome, but its windows steal the show. Old windows and “modern” windows capture the space we witness from below.

Stunningly beautiful cathedral with magnificent processional entrance
Sep 2019
Climbing the steps from the embankment to the cathedral, one is most impressed by its grandeur and can well imagine it as well-suited to a triumphal processional approach. Inside is no less magnificent, with exquisite stained-glass windows representing scenes from the Book of Revelation (with which Angers seems well-acquainted, given the presence of the famous Apocalypse Tapestry in its chateau) and representations of the Zodiac, as well as depictions of the lives of the saints. I can honestly say that I have never seen such a magnificent altarpiece as the one in Angers Cathedral; it is magnificently elaborate without being at all gaudy - and I was also very pleasantly surprised to spot a statue of St Cecilia with a harp behind the altar. The organ, too, is a wonderfully detailed structure that I am sure would be impressive to hear played. It's good that entrance is free (unlike some British cathedrals), but it's well worth a donation as you leave.

Don't miss this beautiful cathedral with vibrant coloured stained glass windows and a beautiful wooden carved choir. The altar is worth a mention too. Spent nearly an hour in here admiring all the wonderful craftsmanship. Well worth a visit

The castle is beautiful piece of living history and architecture of Angers. Outside is under restoration. Interior is beatific!! A place worth visiting and sit for meditation for a while if you feel like!

A beautiful cathedral with many lovely windows and wooden structures. It is an active church and donations at the door are appreciated.

Beautiful windows. Best part are the views looking down the aisle to outside and outside looking down ( and up) steps.

Nice cathedral
Aug 2019 • Family
The cathedral of Angers can be Deen from the Riverside (the Maine). It gives a good opportunity for a nice picture, because the Church will be mirrored in the water. The organ is very old and the altar is very gold. Nice stained glass windows: worth the visit

History and devotion
Aug 2019 • Solo
This is an imposing building on a stunning location in a city steeped in history. The main benefit for me is the Mass which is attended by crowds of Catholics from all over the world in a constant demonstration that we can al live in security love and peace if we get our principals right. Love thy neighbour!!
