Lovely cathedral ,

When the repairs are finished this wil be even more amazing. The dimensions of the building are enormous and from the outside it is awe inspiring. Inside it is wonderful.

Magnificent structure. Huge. The stain glass windows are the highlight. There are better known cathedrals in France but this one is up there.

This cathedrale is very suprising because it looked massive from the outside, small when you enter and then you discover once you're in there all the rooms to see. The stained glass windows are impressive and all the various expensions of the building during the years were made in a way that you look now into a homogeneous building.

The cathedral is set amongst the university town. A whole village of very old buildings with little shops, student accommodation and, of course, the university. The Cathedral is not opulant but has lots of original and new stain glass windows and a magnificent organ that is currently under restoration. Open till late.

The light through the stained glass windows was fantastic today. No pictures can represent the scale and the detail of this building, it's amazing!

This is a splendid cathedral with a great chapel to the east end, good stained glass, splendid masonry and, so typical of these French Gothic creations, layer upon layer of fabulos history. On that basis a guided tour is much warranted.

A lovely quiet space on the very roof of Le Mans. As with all the best cathedrals there is much more to the place than just the building. However, as others have noted, it's not overburdened with information. A must-see in in Le Mans and the immediate surroundings are very nice.

What a beautiful cathedral. The surrounding area is amazing as well. Check out some of the history. We went in here while they were having an evening service. So beautiful with the music and chandeliers and stained glass. I was won over.

There are many stunning things to see in this beautiful cathedral, not least of which is the angel chapel with its mediaeval painted ceiling. This huge cathedral is well worth a visit but would be much more enjoyable if there was some visitor information. This is the first cathedral that I have ever explored where there was not a single...
