One of the oldest cathedrals in France. Astonishing architecture both inside and outside. Easy to locate, easy to visit.

This place is quite incredible. A complete draw from the city's ring roads this Cathedral pulls you right to the heart of this vibrant yet relatively innocuous city. It's imposing structure is as photogenic as a model and is as equal in elegance as it...More

Fantastic light show projected on the cathedral facade was well worth the late night. Helped that our hotel was just meters away.

Maybe not so popular as the one in Paris but still worth checking when in Rouen. Some background with Monet painting it from the opposite shop.

The building is a stunning piece of architecture, set in the centre of Roen. The outside is particularly worth seeing for the intricate stonework, but more importantly for the cast iron steeple, which looks similar to a small Eiffel Tower.

If you like cathedrals and old buildings then Rouen Cathedral is definitely worth a visit. It's free entrance and with an inexpensive small guide you are free to wander at will. A highlight for me was the tomb of Richard the Lionheart. The staff at...More

if outside is nice and the sound and light very attractive, inside is less interesting in comparison with monastery Saint Ouen, with a magnificent inside when outside has not yet been clean and a superb organ.

The cathedral was spectacular and there are two other beautiful cathedrals within five minutes. The history and architecture to the city was much more than expected, I wish I had taken a whole day and not a Sunday.

Lovely cathedral in the centre of Rouen. On a busy summer afternoon the catherdral was still easy to navigate, take photos and learn a little about its history.

Beautiful cathedral, well worth a visit if in the area. The centre of Rouen is also very beautiful but watch out for the beggars, they can be a little intimidating.

Just noticed that MrGrumpy49's review was about a hotel (not named) instead of about the cathedrale.

I think morning would be best if it sunny so you see the effect of the sun on the windows. But any time would really be fine as it is such an impressive site. We visited mid morning on a rainy day and it was still impressive.
