Find yourself a knowledgeable guide and take a tour of this medieval city. The Cathedral is only the beginning of the fascinating history and architectural that dates from the 11th Century. Take time to wander the neighborhood streets to avoid the tourist crowds. Our favorite...More

We made an unexpected stop in Rouen & found an interesting city. The cathedral is fantastic & full of history. Definitely worth a stop! A great walk-able old town in nearby.

We visited this working Roman Catholic church with free admission during our mid-June-2018 Vantage river cruise. It is one of the most impressive Gothic churches ever built and has the tallest church spire (added in the 19th century) in France and a wealth of art,...More

The cathedral itself is majestic and imposing, not at all inferior to the Notre Dame in Paris. The Gothic architecture is breathtaking, with intricate designs on its facade. The cathedral is open to public, free entrance up to 5.30 pm. In summer, there is a...More

Despite the vague description "it starts when the darkness fall" it actually starts at 23h00, so, no sense of waiting there from 21h30, unless you're looking for a specific spot. But it's just beautiful ! If you're in Rouen, make sure you go there

This cathedral is a must visit! Absolutely brilliant! The outside has so much intricate detail I was blown away. The inside has so much to look at and read and a lot is in English. Do not miss this beautiful cathedral if you are in...More

Fabulous exterior, architecture is amazing, but inside its dark and drab and uninviting, there are other cathedrals with far more interesting windows etc

On a recent trip to Rouen we had a tour of the old part of this amazing city ending with a Son et Lumiere show on front of the cathedral. It exceeded all expectations - a must if you can be there at 11pm. The...More

The architecture of the cathedral is quite spectacular, but that is not the best part. Inside you will find the tombs of Rollo (perhaps brother of Ragnar Lothbrook) and Richard the lion-heart’s heart. But the most spectacular part of the cathedral is the 20 minute...More

I have no idea... didn't even think about visiting the tombs, the cathedral is really amazing inside and outside, and one should see it at different times of the day, like Monet did... at twilight, at sunrise, midday, etc.
