Light show

By day a wonderful religious and architectures experience. At 11:00pm it transforms into a beautiful fascinating light show. Well worth the late night visit.

This was the first Cathedral I went to in France. When you walk up it from the street it blows you away, the amazing Gothic architecture and the size is impressive. When I walked in the doors all I could say was "wow". I'm not a religious person at all but you can still appreciate its beauty.

A totally breathtaking Cathedral full of the most amazing architecture. It really is a must see place. It is vast and just the most beautiful place.

We only saw the illuminations at night (i.e. we didn't go in), but they were one of the highlights of the holiday! If you like your Impressionists, you'll love the illuminations, and even if you don't, they are a spectacle not to be missed. We were very moved by them.

This cathedral is really beautiful. Dating as far back as the 12th century it is a must see when in Rouen.

The night of Aug 18th this cathedral has been illuminated by a terrific digital artwork projection having the themes of Viking and Monet. That was one of the greatest things I have seen, it was marvellous

Had just arrived in Rouen at 9:00, had something to eat and went to the Cathedrale for the Light Show. The Cathedrale itself is beautiful, but the light show that happens after 10:30 or so really amazing! Don't miss it!

It's hard to believe how much damage this lovely cathedral sustained in WW11 when you visit but the pictures around the inside tell the story well. The impressive light show to music is a must for any visitor to Rouen. Extremely well created, it will have you mesmerised! It was very busy, as you might expect for something so spectacular... Always loved the image of this Cathedral as seen in so many lights by Claude Monet - really happy to see it in the glorious French sunshine. Interesting exhibition inside about the works to rebuild the Cathedral after it was seriously bombed in 1944. The replacement stained glass windows are modern but not out of place - I really enjoyed... More
