The church is named after the legendary Joan de Arc who was burnt on stake at Rouen in the 15th century. You cannot miss this funny-shaped church with its interesting architecture right next to the busy market square. Go around the church and admire its...More

We visited this church as part of our Vantage river cruise in mid-June 2018. This is a modern Catholic church in the city center of Rouen, northern France near the La Couronne Restaurant in the historic market square of Place du Vieux-Marché. From the outside,...More

I understand old Gothic church was very decrepit and area was bombed heavily in WWII. Good use of beautiful stained glass from old church, in "new" upside down Norse boat building.

The actual spot she was burned at the stake is at a sign right behind the cross in the church gardens surrounded by some bushes. The entire town is a must do and takes you back in time

This is a very uniquely designed Church well worth a visit. Much of the interior is timber, and there are some excellent large stained glass windows.

This church is a modern disaster to the eyes. The remains of the old church are more appealing. From the outside it is difficult to tell where the covered market ends and the church begins. Inside you get the same peace and quite that the...More

The outsides design is modern (?) and rather strange. The key is inside where the 15th century stained glass is from a church that was destroyed in WW2. Instead of looking up from a distance, the placement is at eye level and close so you...More
