Very nice collection of impressionist works

Small but lovely museum. Has works I'd not seen before. Many beautiful Renoirs. Museum has a centre atrium with some large beautiful paintings.

The signs say "Free Entry" but that's to the lobby. If you want to see basically anything then you gotta pay and they have ticket sentries EVERYWHERE. That said the impressionist display (which we had to PAY for) was great. Just don't think it's free is all. Enjoy 8-)

This is a good museum with some good worlds of art from the masters, Monet, Manet, Von Gogh etc and the best part is that it is currently free in Rouen, I think until September it is free

You are thinking "I have already seen all the Impressionists.", well think again ('cause I thought that too!). This a fascinating mix of the artists' public and private lives and above all a series of Berthe Marisot's paintings of women by a woman :)

A large collection of mostly religious paintings. Some more interesting modern examples, but most walls are covered by huge images of Madonna and child, Christ being tortured, or some pious medieval French Saint. Very impressive if you like that sort of thing. Very quiet when I was there. Worth a short visit

I was very impressed with the number of paintings and artefacts on display and the free entry. Had I wanted to see a special exhibition, the cost was 11 euros but there was more than enough to view and the museum is well worth a visit.

We only saw the permanent collection which was free. The special exhibition was of impressionist portraits and you needed to pay €11. We are wandered through the earlier galleries with many excellent pieces of art but for us the star was the impressionist pictures. Most were of Normandy and the area we had been exploring which gave the art an... More

They have some lovely impressionist paintings on the second level, but if you travel the recommended path, you have to work through a lot of religious paintings from the 16th to 18th century, which while fantastic, can dull your senses for the rest of the exhibition. My vote is go straight to level two and work down. Well worth the... More

…..for every possible reason. The impressive building has galleries on three floors: temporary exhibitions and a charming café on the ground floor, the large collection of French 19thC and Impressionist works interspaced with decorative arts on the 1st floor and a spectacular, utterly amazing collection of French, Italian and Dutch masters on the 3rd floor. The current exhibition (Summer 2016)... More

... even if just the impressionist section. Some wonderful works of art in there. Well worth spending an hour or two in here.
