We were so pleasantly surprised by this gem. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Le Havre or even close. An incredible impressionist collection

It's relatively small compared to its Parisian equivalents, but the museum has a lovely collection of impressionist paintings with a special focus on Boudin, who was born in the area.

I'm not a big fan of art museums and I liked this one. My wife is the fan of this style and she was over-the-too happy with the exhibition. This exhibition runs until September, I think..don't know what will remain after, but right now it is exceptional.

We arranged an overnight stay in LeHavre especially to visit this gallery for its collection of Impressionist paintings. There were not many on display but we enjoyed the very full collection of Eugene Boudin who has been called the father of Impressionism. MuMa has the world's second biggest collection of his works and it was a privilege to view them.... More

Interesting museum. The temporary exhibition was Eugene Boudin...not exactly my cup of tea. But the museum is really nice. Great lighting, a lot of space. The permanent exhibition with interesting pieces by Renoir, Manet among others. In my guide, this was called Museum of Modern Art. i was a little confused at first, but still was worth a visit

I visited for the first time during the Boudin exhibition and was impressed, although at 10 Euros the entry was pricey compared to similar art galleries elsewhere.

My first visit to the MuMa, and I have to say I'm impressed by the place and the uber-modern town where it lies. Northern France isn't short of wonderful examples of 19th century art, and the MuMa's permanent and temporary Eugene Boudin exhibitions we walked through boasted quite a few jewels - notably a small selection of works by Monet,... I visited when the Boudin exhibition was on. There is also the permanent collection. I was pleased to see a small number of lovely paintings by Monet and other leading impressionists and their followers. But I was not so impressed by the Boudin exhibition, or the display of 100 or so of his studies of cows upstairs. Some of his... More

We like to look at local art and so we stumbled across this magnificent exhibition of 325 works of Eugene Boudin (1824-1898) – Craftsman in Light. Many of the exhibits were donated to the museum by the artist’s brother. Boudin moved to Le Havre at age 11 and devoted himself to painting at the age of 22 specialising in landscapes... More
