Wonderful atmosphere

Many restaurants around. The buildings are colorful and give a unique character. When we visited there, an antique market and a small amusement park took place.

A refreshing activity walking by this place picture taking with a picture postcard view of the old harbour and the nice old buildings. If you ever get tired you can sit by the open spaces of different restaurant have a cold locally produce cider beers or rose pair it with your favorite seafood dish or just simply have a crepes.

In this city, I felt like in the old historical french area just like in a movie! Traditional houses, street market (clothes, accesories, food), and amazing view from the old port / basin with many boats on the dock. It will be a nice destination for a couple or a family to have a break a little from town's hecticness.

Several large cruise ships here and many tourists. It was packed. Everyone and their dogs and I mean that literally were out strolling the area. Very nice quality retail shops. Nice leather goods such as shoes and purses. But the point of the place is to sit at an outdoor cafe or coffee shop and people watch; just don't sit... More

This place is really typically from Normandy and you must not miss the walk around this little town. There are many narrow streets in the old part and make sure you take your time and look at everything including the architecture of the houses.

For a lovely morning, find a table, order the Formule & watch the town come to life! The sun will shine on you from the east, and if you sit long enough you'll see boats passing through the draw bridge.

There is a reason Le Vieux Bassin is so often painted and photographed. It is absolutely beautiful. A bit crowded during nice weather but with the views, who cares.

Honfleur, is another good example of a small city , preserving beautifully it's own mediaeval historic center . The area around the old port is clean , with lots of small restaurants and cafes , one next to the other - mainly along the quai st.-catherine . Watch ancient houses and modern buildings together on the narrow streets , all... More

This place with its marina somehow reminds me of a lot Dutch towns. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area. Although it was rainy, it still offers a lovely view and a different type of quaintness. There are also plenty of parking places nearby, but do get careful when walking in the streets, as we saw quite... More
