In 2008, I had stopped into this small liquor store that features and highlights Calvados and told the proprietor that I enjoyed Calvados but did not really know much about the different varieties. He sat me down and for the next hour and a half, educated my palate via taste-testing different vintages of Calvados from a variety of producers. I left there with a 50-year-old special bottle of Calvados and a big contented smile on my face. 15 years later, on a return trip to Honfleur with my wife, I wanted to see if this small Calvados specialty store was still in existence. Thankfully, we discovered that it is and is now owned and run by the daughter of the gentleman I had met and was my Calvados teacher back in 2008. After relating my story to her, she graciously offered me and my wife a similar, albeit less involved taste test, which we greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Of course, I did not leave until I had once again purchased a special bottle of vintage Calvados. For anyone who loves Calvados and wants to learn more about this delicious apple brandy, this is the place to visit and patronize.

We only went into this shop to check out some Calvados to take home. We were welcomed by Oscar who treated us to an educational tasting session. Lots of samples, lots of helpful information by someone who really knows his stuff and so much fun! We were so impressed by his knowledge and passion for the subject and will remember the shopping experience for a long time! It is lovely when something like this happens so spontaneously and we will remember the day for a long time. And Oscar, if you are reading this - we hope you did well in your competition.

First visited this specialist shop 3 years ago, when we were impressed with the information about various types of Calvados, and the willingness of the owner to spend time explaining quite fine points to us. So, visiting Honfleur on a cruise, we had an action replay in May 2015 and again all our questions were answered.The difference between "woody" and "fruity" was explained, and we were invited to taste the difference,and also compare the different ages of the many products.
I purchased a bottle of 15 yr. old calvados for my brother, who is a bit of a connoisseur.He had been amazed at the quality of a bottle I gave him from my earlier visit, so no doubt he'll be a happy chappy come Christmas 2015.
I don't know whether the prices represent value for money, as I can't compare them, but I do know the products from this establishment are excellent quality. Well worth a visit.

On a rainy day during our holiday in Honfleur stopped in this cosy, original store. In contrast to other tourist stores, this one is really specialized in Calvados, related Aperitifs and Cider. Authentic and excellent guidance by the owner, who is happy to introduce you into the basics on how his products are fabricated and answers patiently all your questions. Tasting included. Of course we bought Calvados and Apple Liqueur. Back at home, we enjoy a really good drink with memories of a surprisingly nice experience in a little shop in the heart of Honfleur.

Lovely owner that will be happy to explain about calvados. We were very impressed by the variety of calvados in the display and the variety of different calvados to taste. There are other apple-products as well (ciders, liquors and such), but the place mainly celebrates the existence of calvados.

We called in here for some regional treats and did we get a treat indeed. The owner/shopkeeper was welcoming from the door bell onwards. We were offered tasters of all produce that interested us. The calvados and liqueur was a hit along with the retro biscuit tins and the Madeleines. Do not drive past. Pop in for a sip and an informative chat if nothing else. A truly top experience.

What a treasure house of Calvados and associated ciders this place is. Various bottles of many vintages available and tastings offered to serious buyers. The staff were so helpful and prices very sensible especially for the 12/15 and 20 year old vintages, Could have spent longer tasting and spent more. Will be returning at the earliest opportunity.

We enjoyed our tour of this shop and sampled some of the local products. I bought some Calvados, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and really do recommend this place to one and all.
