Yes, those people who said that the hill Mont Joli opens beautiful views are right, but the view of the river mouth only is not quite what I expected. Of course, to sit a little in the chapel and enjoy the peace is another thing... if this is what you come here. Everything that is the most beautiful you will... More

We had a lovely walk up from Honfleur to this chapel. The decor inside is unusual - like a cross between a pub and a museum - model boats hanging from the ceiling, a lot of dark wood and plenty of statues. A wall of poignant memorials. A strong sense of a seafaring community. We were there at midday and... More

Beside the little church is a Glockenspiel and we stayed to see it in action at the end of a quarter hour. We then tried to continue our walk, but without any guideposts we got lost again and again. Finally we found a steep zigzag path the led us straight into town. As I said, it is a pleasant walk... More

My husband and I walked uphill on city streets to reach this lovely, little chapel which sits on top of the hill. Little model boats hang from the ceiling and pictures of boats line the ceiling. The stain glass continues with the nautical theme. One must not forget that seafaring was a dangerous profession and the congregants found solace in... More

I had read something about it being worth the climb up to this chapel, so convinced two of my fellow travelers to make the trek up the hill. We arrived after the chapel was closed for the day, so we were disappointed. It's quite a hike up the switchbacks, but the walk down was easier by the main street Le... More

The owner of Residence Mogador fabricated the beautiful stained glass window in this small chapel in the woods. Beautiful!!!!! He is just one of the many artists that call Honfleur home..

Regarded as the largest all wooden church in Europe. Magnificent! Special to be there during their annual festival. Very unique. Separate bell tower is not be missed.

Take your time and enjoy the birdseye views of the village of Honfleur on your hike up to the Cote De Grace chapel. Sit quietly in the chapel and reflect.

We loved this little cathedral. It was a short drive from Honfleur to the top of a hill where the cathedral was located. Beautiful grounds with a spectacular view of Normandy. Interior of the church was gorgeous. It is a must see if you visit Honfleur.

We visited Honfleur on a cruise ship stop in Le Havre. A taxi driver took us to Honfleur and took us on a brief "overview" tour. We stopped at Notre Dame de Grace and were impressed with the history and beauty. An unexpected treat during our visit to Honfleur.
