A wonderful small church with beautiful stained glass windows and large bells outside.

We arrived just before 12 noon to hear and see the bells chime. We have never seen anything like this before, well worth the visit.

I like to go into old churches wherever I am- but this one was the cutest, most comfortable I have ever been in. The inside was decorated with sailboats all over, along with thank you plaques for Mary answering their prayers. There were also great examples of women in the stained glass- something you don't often see. I wish I... More

Been many times, arrive on the hour to hear the bells. View very good of the river mouth and the Pont de Normandie. Very peaceful, helps if you can read French, but doesn't really matter. Just one of the many charms of Honfleur!

The inside of the church was very ornate. Listening/watching the bells especially on the hour and also the views over Honfleur -amazing. Places to have a picnic.

A steep climb to the old church Notre Dame de Grace leads to the panoramic view of the so called "Côte de Grace" a wonderful excursion from Honfleur, between old trees and panoramic sea views. The old church is famous for its ex-voto model ships, carefully handcrafted by seamen to thank The Lady for saving their ship

Many people said the uphill walk to the chapel was steep and would take 2 hours. Don't believe them unless you crawl up the hill. The bells behind the chapel are beautiful, so be sure to walk around it toward the giant cross overlooking the Seine. Try to be there at the top of an hour to hear them ring.

I guess you could drive up but we needed the exercise. It was not a long walk but it is entirely up hill. The views were well worth it but even more impressive was the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Grace. The church must have been built by mariners as there are boats hanging from the ceiling, pictures of boats on... More

Yes, those people who said that the hill Mont Joli opens beautiful views are right, but the view of the river mouth only is not quite what I expected. Of course, to sit a little in the chapel and enjoy the peace is another thing... if this is what you come here. Everything that is the most beautiful you will... More

We had a lovely walk up from Honfleur to this chapel. The decor inside is unusual - like a cross between a pub and a museum - model boats hanging from the ceiling, a lot of dark wood and plenty of statues. A wall of poignant memorials. A strong sense of a seafaring community. We were there at midday and... More

Beside the little church is a Glockenspiel and we stayed to see it in action at the end of a quarter hour. We then tried to continue our walk, but without any guideposts we got lost again and again. Finally we found a steep zigzag path the led us straight into town. As I said, it is a pleasant walk... More
