A very interesting museum, particularly as it depicts some of the ancient/classical life in what is now Normandy! There seems to be a bit of a jump of a millennium as you go upstairs, but the social history is just as important.
Worth a visit...More
Excellent museum , full of artifacts and some explanations were in english too. Very well laid out and quite large. You also get an extra exhibition to visit in another building, which changes throughout the year. All this for 5.50 euros.
So very happy that we took the time to visit this extremely well-researched and well-appointed museum of the D-Day landing at Normandy.
Exhibits were of the highest order and our guide was a very well spoken young French woman who gave us a superb account...More
Entry is only 3.50 euros about the same as a small coffee. It's in a awesome castle also .spent about a hour in here looking at all the exhibits well worth it.you buy tickets from the building opposite..
This little museum is well worth a visit when you go to the Chateau Ducal, especially if you have an interest in archaeology or classics. Great displays, with English, describing the history of Normandy from the Neolithic on.
