This is a must for all tourists. The museum captures the history of the 2nd World War and what led up to D Day in a comprehensive manner, yet personal. No sense is visiting the beaches of D Day without first visiting the museum.

You need a whole day and maybe more to see and do everything here. Our visit was extremely educational and overwhelming. The are many exhibits and movies. A good library and cafeteria.

This was so interesting, and well done, that we spent 4 hours walking around. Be sure to get the phone device to understand each area.

The Museum has displays on ancient history up to the arrival of the Vikings as well as on the local industries and cultural customs. It provided a good introduction to the region but at times the information got very technical and a bit boring, especially the sections about land management and farming. I would have liked a bit more of... More

It is hard to believe the carnage that occurred on the beautiful beaches. It is made real by the thousands of marble crosses and the moving presentations at the museum.

For anyone who loves American or WWII history it is a must do. To actually see where D-Day happened was such a surreal experience and I actually met some WWII veterans while there. I love WWII history so this was my favorite place in all of France and I always recommend it to friends and family who go to France.

From prehistoric times to the 20th century an interesting show of local life, from the first hominid cultures through the Galls and the Vikings to the Normans. Good video shows make the exhibition more interesting. Best parts show local agriculture, artisans and habitats.

If you have had a relative involved in the D-Day invasion, then this is a must stop location. The U.S. Involvement in he liberation of France is still very important to the people of France, and their appreciation is felt from the moment you enter until the moment you leave.

Architecture and style give what should be the right impression of memorial and remembrance. Shy on information though, was expecting more.
