Plan to spend a minimum of a half day to really view all that the memorial has. The artifacts, photos, videos, and print narrative in multiple language, all made for a powerful experience. We visited in mid-September when there wasn't a big crowd. This made...More

The museum is impressive. Or better: one gets impressed by the information, the message, the images. Take your time to see everything and use the audio tour!

We've all heard, read, and seen stuff about D-Day and the overall battle of Europe in WWII, but once you visit the many landmarks, it's even more awing and inspiring. We visited June 7th (to miss the 75th Anniversary crowds)

This is an incredible museum. The displays are by years and includes several videos of war time film footage and interviews. This is a must see place. Long lines and wait at the cafe for lunch.

A very emotional visit, even for those too young to have ever met someone who was involved. Takes a long time to see it all, I wish they would let you come back without buying another ticket.

We visited Caen specifically for this Museum. Parking was free. It's a very well put together Museum dedicated to a number of wars throughout time with emphasis on the second World war. The rise of Nazi and Fascism with lots of references to the despicable...More

In my opinion, the whole of the Normandy coast is a memorial to American soldiers as well as all the other nations who took part. Did you not visit the US cemetery at Colville ?
