This is a delightful square in Caen, completely car free, thus forming an irregular square of old houses. The houses have been converted to restaurants, with a great choice of different options and price ranges. In summer, all of them have a terrace and one...More

This is the go-to place for a variety of restaurants side by side in a lovely old street - very lively on Friday and Saturday evenings

Really lovely section of the city. If the rest of Caen survived like this it would rival Paris or Venice. Lots of excellent restaurants and a nice vibe to the people you meet there

Important because so much of Caen was destroyed during the Second World War, yet these houses somehow survived. Beautiful.
