I happened across this company looking for information on my Uncle who landed on Utah Beach and died in the Hedgerow fighting. It was an incredible find from beginning to end. Pierre Fallet and I had a zoom chat a couple of months before my arrival and he understood exactly what I wanted...to follow my Uncle's Footsteps from Omaha Beach to where he was killed as well as fitting in a morning visit to Mont Saint Michel and a couple of stops related to action of the father of a friend who was with the 92nd Airborne. Pierre, being very knowledgeable about WWII, was able to move from the macro elements of the 1944 invasion to wonderful detail about my uncle's regiment's movements as we travelled in a comfortable car over the Normandy countryside. I now have a wonderful understanding and great pictures to share with present and future generations of my family the courageous and heroic efforts of Joseph Edward McNamara in June/July 1944.

We spent two days with Pierre touring the Normandy beaches, focusing primarily on the Utah and Omaha beach sites. He was thorough, thoughtful and full of passion for the subject.

Normandy American Heroes - My grandson and I arranged with Rudy Passera and Pierre Fallet to spend 5 days touring the sites of Project Overlord - the D Day landings and the drive inland. We had both read Stephen Ambrose" D Day which prepared us well. Pierre our guide was so incredibly knowledgable and presented a thorough picture of the events of the day - from the landing at Omaha and Utah beaches, the decision to take Cherbourg as a deep water port, and the closing of the gap that encircled the Germans who were trying to escape. His grasp of the subject was so grounded in a true interest in the subject. Every day engaged us thoroughly. I cannot say enough about this organization - it is far more than a "tour" - it is a thoughtful investigation! I also mention that each day we stopped for lunch, whatever we wanted. And the tour being for just the two of us was unequaled.

Rudy Passera is the best guide I have ever encountered on any tour. Three of us enjoyed two full days of touring the Normandy beaches with Rudy. Not only is his historical knowledge about the events of D Day and its aftermath astounding, but he has enormous love and respect for the sacrifices the Americans made to help win World War II and defeat the Nazis. Rudy maintains connections with people the ordinary tourist would never encounter. For instance, we visited with Charles, now the mayor of Sainte-Marie-du-Monte, Manche. A few days after D Day, American forces defeated the Germans in a fierce battle right on the dairy farm where Charles still lives. Charles was 10 years old at the time. He shared with us his album of photos and mementos and his recollections of that terrible time. Rudy also signed us up for experiences we probably wouldn't have discovered on our own. One of these had us climbing into a simulation of an American plane flying parachute troops over the Channel to the beaches on D Day. The noise, the rocking, the firefights outside the windows as other planes were shot down gave us some feeling of how scared the men about to land on the beaches must have felt. Besides being a thoroughly knowledgeable guide, however, Rudy is also very aware and attentive to his guests' needs. Knowing that we were elderly, Rudy arranged everything from restaurant lunches to appointments at many of places we visited to make everything as comfortable for us as possible. We never had to wait for anything: we did not have to stand in long lines; restaurant tables were reserved and ready for our arrival both days. I cannot recommend Rudy more enthusiastically. He is the Best Tour Guide Ever!

Encountering the beaches of Normandy with magical storyteller Rudy Passera enabled us to bear witness and to honor those who sought the fire of the moment without regard to consequences. We had long wanted to experience these beaches--to walk in the hedgerows, to meet people whose families had lived there, and to imagine just how victory could possibly have been achieved in such a terrain. Rudy tells the stories of these battles and these soldiers with great respect and compassion. His contacts and command of details are without peer, and by the end of our two days at Omaha and Utah, we were wrung dry. Rudy even arranged for a ceremony at the grave of an uncle who had been shot down over France just prior to DDay. The experience was moving beyond all expectations. We cannot recommend Rudy and his company more fervently. He was for us the guide of a lifetime.
