A humbling experience
Jul 2016 • Couples
To see and be able to walk among the graves of so many young military personnel who gave their lives so that we may live in freedom, was awesome. And to learn so much more of what must have been a frightening experience for so many.

Only open for 2 hours???
Mar 2016 • Solo
It seemed that people were going in and out, but the attendant wouldn't let me in. The pool was only open from 6-8 for lap swimming....Would have liked to try it out, after a long walk to get there.

Free for Campers
Jun 2014 • Family
We camped at the municipal campground which provides free access to this beautiful indoor olympic size pool. They even loaned me a speedo style suit and everyone gets a required bathing cap. The facilities are very well kept and super clean. The campground is walking distance from the center of town including the Bayeux Tapistry Museum which is a must see.

Good for rainy day, but those opening hours...

This building looks like it's in need for improvement, fortunatelly inside it's a lot better - still far from ideal. There're two pools: competition and leisure plus a large jacuzzi. Don't expect any extra features, such as wave machine or toys. Water is all you get. We have seen a lot of staff teaching kids swimming on all sorts of levels - I'm sure everyone can book a lesson, but it's hard, if not impossible to find someone speaking english. The biggest problem with this place thou is it's openning hours - different every day, with only 2 hours on most evenings... But then you've got to do something with kids in Bayeux, when they had enough of Battle of Normandy stuff, or when it rains...
