Absolutely first class trip, bus crew, Nana & Leah along with expert Guide Neil Cherry made the trip enjoyable and very memorable. Visited all the landing beaches along with several cemeteries for the Commonwealth American and German fallen. San Mere Eglise was a very special visit with the American Airborne museum. But Pegasus bridge and museum was well worth a very long day outing.

We toured with Allan on a cool February day. The knowledge he shares is tremendous and informative. Our 15 year old stayed engaged all day and gave it high marks. If you have an interest or passion for WWII and D-Day you can't go wrong with this tour. Amazing experience.

My brother and I took the tour together. We are both in our 70's and have been reading popular and scholarly works about WWII and the Normandy landings for decades. We consider ourselves fairly knowledgeable in 20th century European and American history. After reviewing several private tours, most of which seemed quite good, we settled on First Normandy Battlefield Tours, run by Allan Bryson. His tour was exactly as he described, met every expectation we had, was very fairly priced and did not disappoint in any way. Allan recommends that you read select background information prior to the tour. You should take that recommendation, because from the moment your tour begins Allan will immerse you in strategic and tactical information combined with personal stories he has gathered from veterans of the landings. In spite of our considerable knowledge, we still learned a lot of new information. Be aware though that this information is pretty much going to be coming at you nonstop until your tour ends. Although generally considered to be a positive, this can be exhausting for certain people. It was for me, less so for my brother. But most importantly we both believe we received excellent value.

From the minute we were picked up in Allan's car, we were amazed at his passion, his knowledge and the history that he unwrapped for us. Allan shared his personal interviews with soldiers and his years of experience and research was mind blowing!. He kept us on the edge of our seats with the personal testimonies of the lives of those that lived and died. He brought tears to our eyes many times as he helped us to feel like we were there. My husband thought the tour was the best experience he had ever had and the best day ever on his first trip to Europe. You will truly miss out, if Allan isnt your driver.

From the moment we booked our full day tour and received the instructions, itinerary, and suggested readings and viewings to prepare for our experience, I could tell this would be nothing short of "First Class"...but it was even better! Allan's fund of knowledge and incredible passion for the history of this world-changing battle was instantly contagious. He started the educational lesson from the moment we shook hands "hello" and didn't slow down until the final "farewell". We had a spectacular and moving experience. I think Allan's tour should be mandatory for all American teenagers to see first-hand how so many lives were sacrificed so that we may enjoy our freedom. Many thanks to Tina & Allan!!!
