Very professional and responsive tour company. I was looking for a tour guide to bring me and my family to the Canadian Dday beach and all the Canadian dday memorial sites. On top of this I was coming off a cruise ship porting in Le Havre and trying to find a guide seemed to be impossible. The ship excursions were all booked and I wanted to go to Canadian sites anyways. Found HQ company tours and they provided me speedy responses and gave me a quote right away. They worked with me to customize a tour that would work with the time I had.
Yannick was my tour guide and he was extremely passionate about WW2 history. I asked him many questions and he was able to enlighten me. My group consisted of young kids 6 and 10 and senior elderly parents but Yannick was able to make it all work for all of them. He had great stories to tell and has done a ton of research so he has great material to present to you. I would highly recommend Yannick and the HQ company tours to all my friends and family and even if I can go to the other beaches, I will be getting Yannick to come along.
Normandy and the dday beaches was on my bucket list of places to visit as I'm a big WW2 history buff. If you're like me and do not want to waste time and want to ensure an amazing experience, make sure you book with HQ company tours!

Our tour guide with Yannick was spectacular, he exhibited knowledge of not only World War II, but of many other sites in Normandy. He was extremely helpful, kind, and willing to help with things even outside the tour. As an example of his willingness to go above and beyond, he even helped set up a surprise photo shoot for me and my wife. Highly recommended, we attended the Omaha/Utah tours, as well as the Mount Saint michel tour.

We did the full day Omaha/Utah tour with Mickael. We were amazed at the knowledge he has and his ability to impart information in an interesting and entertaining way. Mickael has a real passion built over many years of study and guiding and has true respect for this subject. He has a great ability to bring things alive. He has excellent English and gave us some interesting anecdotes about Normandy and France. We'd certainly recommend Mickael and his company, HQ.

Michael was an excellent, knowledgeable, friendly guide and driver. He went out of his way to address areas we were interested in. We were two couples and a single man on the all day tour from 0900-1730. His knowledge of history and familiarity with Omaha and Utah beaches made the events come to life. He used historical photos and maps very effectively to demonstrate what took place. Definitely highly recommend Michael and his company. Very dedicated to providing an excellent memorable experience.

Five of us from Boston, New York, and London spent a day with Yannick touring the British and Canadian D-Day sites. We visited the Pegasus Bridge, the Sword, Juno, and Gold landing beaches, a cemetery where British, Commonwealth, and German solders are interned. Yannick is a highly engaging, knowledgeable guide who answered all of our questions. We stopped for a lovely lunch at a seaside cafe. We highly recommend him as a guide.

We were waiting for our tour guide from another company and Mickael was very helpful and informative. He gave us many tips and recommendations about what we should try and see during our time in Normandy. We were wishing he was our guide for the day! Next time we will be booking with HQ Company Tour!

Our personal guide Gwen was a walking encyclopedia when it came to any question we had regarding Normandy, its beaches and history.
He took us to all the spots with close parking and access to these significant and very memorable locations of the D day.
Gwen finished our tour by positioning us at the US cemetery for the lowering of the American flags.
If he wasn’t driving us, we would’ve asked him to join us for a glass of wine .

My wife and I did a 1.5 day tour of Normandy WW2 sites and a day at Mont St. Michel with Yannick and it was fantastic. Neither of us could think of a better guide on any prior trip. He made the WW2 history come alive.

I have been wanting to tour the D-Day beaches for quite some time and finally got the opportunity. The HQ Company Tour guide, Yannick, was incredibly knowledgeable about World War II history in general and D-Day in particular. The maps and photos he used as visual aids were very helpful in understanding what was going on. His stories added much to enrich the experience of being in a hallowed place in history. If you are going to Normandy, I highly recommend that you take this tour.

What a great tour to Mont Saint Michel! Yannick was our guide, as well as one of the company’s owners. He was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and excited to share this place with us. Even on the drive to the site he shared so much information and was genuinely interested in the whole group. Having a small group was an advantage, as you were always able to ask questions and get real answers.
I highly recommend this company for any tour you might be considering.
