We enjoyed the depth of information in this museum located in Bayeux, a town of great strategic importance for the Battle of Normandy. The layout was stimulating and easy to follow. Our rainy afternoon here was delightful.

Highly recommend a visit to the Battle of Normandy Museum. Ideally, I’d recommend visiting the museum the afternoon before going to visit the beaches/battlefield to help provide additional context and visual understanding for the sites on your tour. Museum displays are all multilingual. 1.5-2 hours...More

This interactive museum brings to life the story of the Normandy invasion and includes a paratrooper simulation, videos and many artifacts that enrich your empathy for what courage these soldiers had to have and their enormous sacrifice. Go!! It’s wonderful.

This museum was a great, unexpected treat to our Normandy experience. We're so glad to have found ourselves with an extra afternoon to spend here! The collection was extensive and extremely well thought out.

As someone who tends to read all of the placards and information, this museum had a lot of information to digest. If you're like me, you can burn through 3 hours quickly. We had planned on a longer visit, but didn't realize that the museum...More

We visited numerous D Day museums and memorial sites and this one in Bayeux was excellent. Easy parking in a lovely town with a medium size museum.
