This tour was amazing; Mike picked us up at our apartment and took us along the American landing beaches, Pointe du Hoc, Saint Mere Eglise and many more interesting places and spots... and of course all these you can look up yourself as well... what made it special is the stories and details that Mike brought in; he made us "live" Normandy's history focusing on D-Day of course but also sharing a lot of facts of the region, the months after 6-June, stories and details from veterans who he had the honor to meet, connecting with the whole family by e.g. making the link to movies and series about the landing / war. The whole family loved the full day experience!

If you are looking for a memorable and educational private tour, Mike is really as good as they come. He was quick to reply to all my emails in preparation for our trip. On the day of our tour, he was punctual to pick my family up, and made us all feel comfortable from the start. He comes very well prepared with his knowledge and background, and with visual aids to help you really get a better sense of all that took place on D-day. He allowed for time for my family and I to walk around Omaha beach and the American Cemetery. When I told my 11 year old son I was going to write a review of our tour, even he said to make sure I make it known that he gives Mike 5 stars (and the rest of the family would most certainly agree).

Words cannot express how wonderful & professional Mike is. He is an expert in WW2 history and has a passion for it as well. He weaves stories into the tour and is completely engaging. If you are looking for a memorable, incredible, and moving tour, book with Allied Victory Tours. It will be a day that you will remember always. Thanks, Mike, for the tour of a lifetime. It was obviously well thought out and each detail was outstanding. We are still in amazement!

If you don’t pick Mike as your guide you’ll be missing out. He went above and beyond for the tours and presenting information and details tailored to our group. Even made some adjustments during the tour after learning more about us and what we enjoy to do. It was a pleasure spending the day with him and we will definitely choose him and his firm again! You can do no better than to book your tour with Mike. He is knowledgeable, friendly and won't try to belittle you for not knowing something. Mike has years of being a guide on his side and the perfect guide for whatever your need. Book a room at the B&B for a package deal you will not regret.

I came back to Normandy this summer and stayed / camped at Mike's B&B (Le Pont de la Pierre Vintage B&B) and we did a day trip tour of Omaha beach - once again I learned so much - Mike is just an excellent tour guide. We spent 4 hours on Omaha beach going from one end to the other. Mike pointed out places that few tourist will ever see or notice. I had my dog with me and Mike accommodated the tour to fit in my 4 legged friend.

Mike was an exceptionable tour guide for our Normandy visit. His knowledge of WW II and the events that took place was A +++!
It was an all day tour ending with Taps at the US cemetery which was extremely moving.
Would recommend Allied Victory Tours without hesitation. The van for our group was clean comfortable and safe.

I had a wonderful day with Mike for a visit to St Malo and Mont St. Michel. I had changed my plans several times and Mike was easy going and very responsive. He even was a sport and walked to the monastery with me instead of taking the bus!
I learned a lot through our conversations not only about what was on my tour for the day but also the Normandy invasion. I always test the effectiveness of a tour if I am anxious to learn more after the tour. And yes I was! Well done Mike! Also got a great dinner recommendationfrom Mike in Bayeux. Best Galettes ever and favorite meal in France!
Lastly, Mike picked me up at my hotel that was a bit far away and dropped me off at my next hotel in Bayeux which was really helpful.I had wanted to book Mike for two days to also do the Normandy tour but he was already booked. He helped me secure another guide for the Normandy portion, his friend Colin who was equally great. You will definitely enjoy your time with Mike and learn a lot in a fun way!

Mike was the second tour guide I’ve experienced in Normandy, and did not disappoint. He has extensive knowledge of the key events and personalities that influenced D-Day. This made the history come alive in way that engaged both me and my 16 year old son. Everything from the itinerary to the vehicle to his personality were absolutely excellent.

We travelled to France in November with the primary focus being a tour of D-Day American battle sites, long a wish of mine. My son is a skillful traveler and my family had originally planned to tour the battle sites on our own, but I wanted my family, especially our young adult children, to gain an understanding of the sacrifice and magnitude of the events of D-Day. I read about different private tours and after reading Mike’s reviews, bio, and tour itinerary, I decided to go with Mike and his full-day tour option and I was fortunate to make that choice. The reviews are completely accurate and the bio speaks to his extensive personal knowledge and interest, so reading them is helpful.
Mike is a natural tour guide with an engaging personality and deep knowledge of D-Day history. He converses easily with different ages. This isn’t just a business for him, his passion and respect are genuine. He picked us up in his van and while getting to know us, provided interesting anecdotes and backstories via a sound system that allowed everyone to hear clearly as we drove to the different sites so even the drive was interesting. I liked Mike’s approach to the tour, with the day ending with the lowering of the flag at the American cemetery, but he Is flexible and tailors the tour to what you want to do and see (He’ll also provide good lunch suggestions. And if the sausage truck is in the Sainte-Mère-Eglise courtyard when you’re there, we highly recommend!). I have read quite a bit about D-Day but I learned interesting facts I had never heard before, and my family came away with an informative, moving, unforgettable experience.
If you go in November, expect intermittent rain and chilly temperatures on the beaches but less crowds. If you’re dressed properly you’ll be fine.
We highly, highly recommend Mike and his tour! Well worth it.
