Our cruise ship didn't offer a tour of the American Sector. Jonathan picked us up and gave us a personalized tour. I highly recommend this tour over going it alone, the amount of detail, history & local knowledge was worth it!! Thanks again for the wonderful day!

Jonathan Dale is knowledgeable about all things related to Narmandy and gave us the most comprehensive tour of the important areas related to WW II. In addition, he had incredible visual maps, pictures to make this experience more detailed and informative. From the start of the tour at 9 am until he dropped us off at our hotel, we were absorbed in the history of this famous region of France that only Jonathan could convey with his expertise and knowledge from residing in this region his entire life. Jonathan was fun yet more importantly, he made this experience to this region one we will never forget because he cares. Punctual, kind and funny, and willing to be flexible with our wants and desires to see certain places on this journey made the entire day with Jonathan an absolute pleasure. We did not see it all this time, but when we return, Jonathan will be the guide we will seek out.

Jonathan took us on an amazing tour of Bayeux and William the Conqueror sites in Normandy. We did a walking tour of Bayeux that included a stop at the lace making workshop there, as well as a tour through the Cathedral. We particularly enjoyed the Bayeux Tapestry museum. Next we drove to an ancient church in Thuon and then went on to Caen where we visited the Cathedral where William is buried we visited his castle there. We ended the day by visiting Falaise, where we saw the well where William's father fell in love with his mother and then toured the castle there. Jonathan is very knowledgeable and provided us with the historical information we were looking for. He is very personable and he handled all of the logistics of the tour well. The van he provided was very comfortable and he knew the perfect place to get a quick sandwich for lunch so that we could get to all of the sites we were interested in. We highly recommend touring with him.

Jonathan was amazing! We spent a day at pont du hoc, German and American cemeteries, Omaha and gold beaches and a day at Mont St Michel. We had nice lunches, calvados and cider tasting as well. Jonathan was well versed in the history of WW2 and as a local, he knows all the places and short cuts to avoid crowds and get the best views. As someone who has traveled extensively and used many guides I would say that Jonathan is in the top 1% and very highly recommended. Great comfortable car and an extremely friendly chap!

Jonathan Dale was very down to earth.
It felt like we were talking to a friend.
The tour was excellent.
Jonathan provided background information that made the history he explained much easier to understand.
He provided background and detailed explanations on every stop.
Answered every question.
The German cemetery, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha, and the American cemetery visits were perfect locations to show and explain to us the sequence, progression and history.
There was even a stop for lunch at a small, local place.
Good was excellent. The people that worked there were even better.
I obviously highly recommend Jonathan.
This tour was well worth the cost!

Amazing Tour by Jonathan. My wife and I had an awesome experience seeing WWII sights and the Normandy Countryside with Jonathan. Laid back tour with the flexibility to do what we wanted, and the expertise by the guide to know where to go and the details of each place. Fun conversation and day exploring Normandy. I would highly recommend this tour guide!!!

We just completed a fabulous tour of the Normandy area including Utah and Omaha beaches with Jonathan Dale.
Jonathan has so much knowledge of the area and made it our best trip ever.
Definitely worth having him drive or you would miss out on so many things.
He has a great way of explaining the history to you.
This was a bucket list item and we were so glad we did it with Jonathan.

I took the tour to Bayeux-Normandy beach with Johnathan. Johnathan was very acknowledgeable about WWII. He took us to Utah and Omaha beaches and the American cemetery. It was amazing to see where DDay happened 77 years later. History fans should take this tour. It’s so worth it.

Jonathan Dale is very knowledgeable about WW1, WW2 and Norman history. He is funny and personable. He took us to see important and off the beaten path places for DDay and the Normandy campaign from the Canadian perspective. I would definitely recommend him.
